Opening of the first Provincial Party Congress in the country

This morning (September 21) in Phu Ly City, the 20th Ha Nam Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025, will officially open with the participation of 322 delegates, representing more than 50,000 party members in the whole province.

On the afternoon of September 20, delegates began the preparatory session of the 20th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025.

With the theme "Improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party Committee; promoting the strength of great national unity; promoting innovation, mobilizing and effectively using all resources, building Ha Nam province to develop rapidly and sustainably, striving to achieve a fairly good development level of the Northern Delta region", the 20th Congress of the Ha Nam Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term will take place until September 22.

Previously, the draft congress documents were commented on 6 times by the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee, widely solicited public opinions, and sent to central ministries and branches for comments. The Ha Nam Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee reported to solicit opinions and accepted the Politburo and Secretariat's direction on the content and completed the content of the political report and the review report of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee to officially submit to the Congress.

Congress personnel workwas seriously implemented, ensuring principles and promoting democracy. The personnel introduced to elect the 20th Provincial Party Executive Committee had 55 members; of which the remaining 7 (12.7%), the proportion of women was 10 (18.18%) and the age under 40 was 7 (12.7%). The number of members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term was 49, of which the number elected at the congress was 48.

To ensure absolute safety for the Congress, Ha Nam Provincial Police have deployed synchronous measures, mobilized all personnel to carry out the work of grasping the situation, strictly managing the activities of all types of criminals and political opponents in the area, promptly advising local Party committees and authorities at all levels to focus on resolving the issue right at the grassroots level, avoiding "passivity and surprise".

Colonel Nguyen Quoc Hung - Director of Ha Nam Provincial Police said that the police force launched a peak campaign to attack and suppress crimes, ensure security and order, and absolutely protect the safety of important political and social events of the country and the province; strengthen patrols, ensure social order and safety, prevent and fight fires and explosions on key routes and areas before, during and after the Congress./.
