Opening ceremony of the 2017 sports tournament for war invalids and disabled people

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of July 24, the Department of Culture and Sports of Nghe An province organized the 2017 Sports Festival for War Invalids and People with Disabilities in Anh Son district.

The sports tournament had 30 athletes who were war invalids, sick soldiers, and people with disabilities from 9 districts: Anh Son, Do Luong, Thanh Chuong, Nam Dan, Quynh Luu, Nghia Dan, Dien Chau. The tournament included 3 sports: Badminton, Chinese chess, and table tennis with many contents divided according to the subjects and health levels.

With the slogan “Disabled but not useless”, the tournament is organized to encourage and promote the movement of practicing and competing in sports for war invalids, sick soldiers and people with disabilities in the province; creating opportunities to exchange, learn experiences, improve health and integrate into the community.
