Opening of the 13th Nghe An Open Karate Championship in 2025

On the afternoon of October 25, at Vinh Phu Ward Sports Stadium, Nghe An Karate Federation coordinated with Vietnam Karate Academy Joint Stock Company to organize the opening ceremony of the 13th Nghe An Open Karate Championship - ASUDO Cup 2025.

This year's tournament gathered 568 excellent athletes from 24 clubs inside and outside the province, competing in 8 age groups, competing for 175 sets of medals in two categories: Kata (performance) and Kumite (combat).

In particular, this year's tournament has the participation for the first time of the Nghe An Provincial Police Karate Team, affirming the spread of the Karate movement, when many Nghe An Karate students have grown up and are contributing to the police force, contributing to keeping peace for the homeland.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Tran Dang Trong - Vice President of Nghe An Karate Federation emphasized: "After more than 10 years of construction and development, Nghe An Karate Federation has gradually affirmed its position in the province's sports movement. From the initial simple training sessions, up to now, the Karate movement has spread throughout the localities, becoming an environment for physical training, will and morality for the young generation".

The 13th Nghe An Open Karate Championship aims to further promote the general sports movement and Karate in particular in the province; it is also an opportunity for athletes to exchange, learn, demonstrate their talents, and accumulate competition experience, thereby selecting talented athletes to supplement the province's Karate team to participate in domestic and international competitions.
