In his opening remarks at the Spring Press Festival 2025, journalist Tran Minh Ngoc, Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial Journalists Association, stated: The Spring Press Festival is a traditional event held annually during the Lunar New Year. It's a place for journalists to meet, share their achievements over the past year, and connect with the general public.
And through the representative publications displayed at the Press Festival, the public can get a general overview of the press over the past year.

Despite facing numerous difficulties and challenges, the press agencies and journalists in Nghe An province have strived to overcome obstacles, proactively and creatively adapting to successfully complete their assigned tasks.

Nghe An's press has comprehensively and promptly reported on important political events of the country and the province, reflecting the socio-economic, defense and security, and foreign affairs landscape of the province. It has also extensively disseminated the policies and decisions of the Party and State, leading up to the Party congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term, especially Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW on continuing to innovate and streamline the organizational structure of the political system for effective and efficient operation, and Resolution 57 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in the development of science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation.

It can be said that the press is a powerful flow of information, actively contributing to creating consensus among cadres, Party members, and the people to best implement these two groundbreaking policies of our Party. The press extensively publicizes the solutions for managing the province's socio-economic affairs, as well as those of its departments, agencies, and localities; and promotes the image of Nghe An's land and people to the whole country and the world.

Furthermore, the press in Nghe An has effectively fulfilled its role in monitoring and providing social critique, resolutely fighting against corruption, waste, and negative practices; discovering and promoting new factors and exemplary models, attracting investment; refuting the false views and arguments of hostile forces, contributing to strengthening trust in the Party and government, and creating consensus among the people.

The Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association affirmed: Many works from Nghe An Newspaper, Radio and Television Station, and other press agencies, offices, representative offices, and resident reporters in the province have won high awards at national journalism awards, central government ministry and provincial journalism awards. At this ceremony, we continue to honor 40 works, out of a total of 125 journalistic works participating in the 9th Golden Hammer and Sickle Journalism Award, 2024.

This is a prestigious journalism award, recognizing and commending the sense of responsibility and passion for the profession of reporters and contributors who have strived to produce outstanding works on a subject considered broad and difficult, yet also rich and vibrant, such as Party building.
According to Comrade Tran Minh Ngoc, Vietnamese journalism in general, and Nghe An journalism in particular, is undergoing a strong process of renewal, shouldering a noble mission to serve the national interest and the happiness of the people. June 21, 2025, will mark the 100th anniversary of Vietnam's Revolutionary Journalism Day. This is a momentous event not only for the journalistic community but also for the entire political system nationwide. In Nghe An, Party committees and authorities at all levels always pay attention to and create favorable conditions for media agencies to fulfill their tasks.

The Nghe An Provincial Party Committee issued Plan 236-KH/TU on April 1, 2024, regarding the dissemination of information and organization of activities to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day; the Provincial People's Committee also issued a document to implement this plan of the Provincial Party Committee. With the province's attention, press agencies in the province, as well as journalists in the province, will strive to compete and affirm their responsibility as writers to fulfill their noble mission, contributing to the socio-economic development of their homeland and country.

We must continue to affirm the leading role and position of mainstream media in guiding and shaping public opinion; promoting and encouraging exemplary new factors, spreading national values, and contributing to building an advanced Vietnamese culture rich in national identity.

Furthermore, the association will continue to lead in digital transformation, innovate management and production processes, and improve the quality of its staff in terms of professional expertise, political acumen, and moral character. The branches will encourage members to compete in creating high-quality journalistic works to participate in national and provincial journalism awards in 2025.
At the same time, continue to do a good job in political and ideological education, raising awareness among members and journalists; and strive to effectively implement the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws on journalistic activities.
Journalists and members strictly adhere to the 10 regulations on professional ethics and the Code of Conduct for Vietnamese Journalists on Social Media; strengthen the building of a cultural environment in press agencies and the culture of Vietnamese journalists, contributing to building a professional press and media, so that each journalist truly becomes a soldier on the ideological and cultural front of the Party, possessing a bright mind, a pure heart, a sharp pen, and the courage to fight and contribute to building a professional, modern, and humane Vietnamese press.
