Opening Ceremony of the Hang Bua Festival 2024
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of March 1st, the opening ceremony of the 2024 Hang Bua Festival took place in Chau Tien commune, Quy Chau district.
Attending the ceremony were Comrade Bui Dinh Long - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of leaders from provincial departments and agencies; and leaders from the districts and towns of Thai Hoa, Nghia Dan, Hung Nguyen, Con Cuong (Nghe An); Tra Bong (Quang Ngai); and Nhu Xuan, Thuong Xuan (Thanh Hoa).


This year, the Hang Bua Festival will be held from February 29th to March 2nd, 2024, featuring spiritual, cultural, and artistic activities reflecting the unique identity of the Thai community in Quy Chau district.
The ceremonial part is held at Chieng Ngam Temple and the festival part is held at Hang Bua, in Bua village, Chau Tien commune.
The ritual at Muong Chieng Ngam Temple takes place in the morning before the festival opens, following the traditional village and hamlet worship customs of Quy Chau district. Local products such as buffalo meat, chicken, incense, and rice wine are offered as part of the offerings from the seven villages and hamlets in Chau Tien commune.



The opening ceremony this morning featured cultural exchange activities, traditional rice wine festivities, and more, attracting thousands of visitors from all over, including foreign tourists.


The Hang Bua Festival is organized according to the customs of the Thai ethnic group, always ensuring solemnity, safety, and economy. The district mobilizes a large number of people from all walks of life to participate. This year, the festival will have many new features in both content and form. The district aims to attract nearly 20,000 tourists to the Hang Bua Festival and other tourist destinations in the area in 2024.
