The photo exhibition '80 Years of the Vietnamese National Assembly' opens in Nghe An.
On the morning of January 5th, the opening ceremony of the photo exhibition "80 Years of the Vietnamese National Assembly" took place at Ho Chi Minh Square. This meaningful event commemorates the 80th anniversary of the first general election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly, contributing to a vivid recreation of the formation and development of the highest state power organ of the people.
The photo exhibition "80 Years of the Vietnamese National Assembly" is organized by the Nghe An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with...Office of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation and Provincial People's CouncilOrganized to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly (January 6, 1946 – January 6, 2026) and the nationwide election day for representatives to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term.

Attending the opening ceremony were: Mr. Ngoc Kim Nam – Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; Mr. Nguyen Nam Dinh – Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council. Also present were members of the Provincial Party Committee: Mr. Thai Van Thanh – Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Ms. Tran Thi My Hanh – Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Ms. Thai Thi An Chung – Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Mr. Bui Duy Son – Chief of the Office of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation and People's Council; representatives of leaders from various departments and agencies; and a large number of people from all walks of life.

The exhibition displays many valuable images and documents, vividly reflecting the process of its formation and development.Vietnam National AssemblyOver the past 80 years, the National Assembly has been closely associated with the glorious revolutionary journey of the nation – from the struggle for independence and national reunification to the process of reform, integration, and development. This highlights the role and position of the National Assembly as the highest representative body of the people, representing the will, aspirations, and right to self-governance of the people.

The exhibition also clearly portrays the companionship and contributions of Nghe An and the Provincial National Assembly Delegation in the overall flow of the Vietnamese National Assembly, demonstrating the responsibility, intelligence, and courage of the delegates in representing voters and participating in deciding important issues of the country and the locality.


Through this activity, the Organizing Committee hopes to continue spreading the core values of socialist democracy, fostering the people's trust in the Party, the State, and the National Assembly; and at the same time contributing to the education of patriotic traditions and civic responsibility, especially for the younger generation in the homeland of beloved President Ho Chi Minh.
