On the afternoon of May 18th, at Ho Chi Minh Square, the Nghe An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports, organized the opening of the thematic exhibition "Southern Vietnam Forever Remembers the Gratitude to Him". This activity is part of a series of events commemorating the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth and looking forward to the 115th anniversary of his departure to seek a path to national salvation.

Attending the ceremony were Comrade Duong Dinh Chinh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial People's Council, along with representatives from the Ho Chi Minh Museum, the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Command, Military Region 4, the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City, and leaders of various departments and agencies of Nghe An province.

The thematic exhibition "Southern Vietnam Forever Remembers the Gratitude to Him" ​​is a meaningful cultural activity during the historic month of May, contributing to the dissemination and education of patriotic traditions, and spreading the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style to cadres, Party members, and all strata of the people.

Over 140 precious images and documents about the life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh are on display, recreating his revolutionary journey, the deep affection he had for the people of the South, and the unwavering loyalty of the people of the South to their beloved national leader.

The program attracted a large number of officials, soldiers, union members, young people, students, and citizens. Many expressed their emotion at being able to directly view valuable images and documents about President Ho Chi Minh and the special affection of the people of Southern Vietnam for him.

The exhibition also provides an opportunity for the younger generation to learn more about the nation's history, about President Ho Chi Minh's journey to find a way to save the country, thereby raising awareness of preserving and promoting the historical and cultural values ​​of the nation.

The program also included a meaningful cultural exchange between Ho Chi Minh City and Nghe An province. Southern Vietnamese checkered scarves were presented as a symbol of the close and loyal affection of the people of the South for the homeland of President Ho Chi Minh.

In response to that sentiment, representatives from Nghe An province also presented traditional Nghe An conical hats to the delegates and participating units. These simple yet culturally rich gifts contributed to a warm and heartfelt atmosphere at the opening ceremony.

Following the opening ceremony, delegates and a large number of people visited the exhibition space and listened to explanations about the images and documents that vividly recreated President Ho Chi Minh's sacred feelings for the South.

The thematic exhibition "Southern Vietnam Forever Remembers the Gratitude to Him" ​​is one of the outstanding activities within the framework of the 2026 Lang Sen Festival.
