(Baonghean.vn) – With Viettel 4G SIM cards, customers can enjoy superior advantages in speed, security, and many perfect services… To immediately experience this attractive service, Viettel customers can easily upgrade their current SIM card to a 4G SIM card at more than 1,600 free SIM exchange points located at Viettel stores, supermarkets, authorized dealers, and post offices nationwide.
Viettel's 4G network will launch in the first quarter of 2017.
On December 28, 2016, Viettel Telecommunications Corporation marked its readiness to launch its 4G network with a customer care and support campaign, offering free upgrades to 4G SIM cards and registration of subscriber information under the owner's name. To date, Viettel has essentially completed its infrastructure and network to be ready to provide 4G services in the shortest possible time, expected in the first quarter of 2017.
With 4G, customers not only experience superior speed and security when using mobile internet, but also enjoy a perfect service when watching high-quality videos (full HD, 4K), streaming videos, downloading/uploading, browsing the web, etc. In addition, with a nationwide coverage strategy, Viettel is constantly striving to provide the best quality service to customers in all provinces and cities right from the launch of its 4G network.

In particular, in some major cities like Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, and other key areas, customers are expected to experience 4G technology sooner, as soon as Viettel completes the installation and broadcasting of 4G base stations.
Free 4G SIM upgrade
To avoid missing out on the earliest opportunity to experience 4G service, customers should spend 2 minutes at the free SIM exchange point to upgrade their current SIM to a Viettel 4G SIM.
Viettel 4G SIM cards offer 128KB of data and work well on both 3G and 2G networks. Furthermore, Viettel 4G SIM cards feature a modern design, made from better materials, and come in three sizes: MICROSIM, NANOSIM, and standard SIM, compatible with all current mobile phone models on the market. Using this type of SIM card eliminates the need for manual cutting.

Furthermore, during the 4G SIM card exchange process, Viettel specifically advises customers to register their subscriber information accurately according to the regulations of the Ministry of Information and Communications. Owning a registered subscriber account ensures maximum benefits for customers when using the services provided by the network. The free 4G SIM card exchange and registration campaign is one of Viettel's activities to support and care for its existing customers.

With 4G, Viettel hopes that mobile internet will boom in Vietnam and truly become accessible to everyone. The free 4G SIM card exchange is one of the final activities aimed at accelerating the launch of 4G services in the first quarter of 2017.”
Viettel is the only mobile network operator in Vietnam with experience successfully deploying 4G in other markets around the world such as Burundi, Laos, Haiti, and Peru. In addition, Viettel is also the first telecommunications company in Vietnam to provide a trial of 4G services and offer free SIM card replacements to customers in Vung Tau city.
The pilot program attracted tens of thousands of customers to participate in the experience. During the trial period, 4G speeds in Vung Tau averaged 40-80 Mb/s, seven times faster than the previous average 3G speed. At some locations, speeds could reach 230 Mb/s, close to the theoretical ideal speed (current advanced 4G LTE-A technology can achieve download speeds of 300 Mb/s and upload speeds of 150 Mb/s).
