Launching 4G, Viettel arranges more than 1,600 free SIM upgrade points

Viettel 4G network will be launched in the first quarter of 2017
On December 28, 2016, Viettel Telecom Corporation marked its readiness to launch the 4G network with a customer care and support campaign, free upgrade to 4G SIM and registration of subscriber information. Up to now, Viettel has basically completed the infrastructure and network to be ready to provide 4G service in the shortest time, expected in the first quarter of 2017.
With 4G, customers not only experience superior speed and security when using the Internet on mobile devices, but also enjoy perfect service when watching high-quality videos (full HD, 4K), watching streaming videos, downloading/uploading, surfing the web... In addition, with a strategy of nationwide coverage, wide coverage and good quality coverage, Viettel is constantly striving to provide the best quality service to customers in all provinces and cities right at the time of launching the 4G network.

Free 4G SIM upgrade
To not miss the opportunity to experience 4G service as soon as possible, customers should spend 2 minutes at the free SIM exchange point to upgrade their current SIM to Viettel 4G SIM.
Viettel 4G SIM provides 128KB capacity, can be used well on both 3G and 2G networks. In addition, Viettel 4G SIM is designed modernly, on better materials with 3 sizes: MICROSIM, NANOSIM and regular SIM, suitable for all phone models currently on the market. Using this type of SIM, customers do not need to cut the SIM manually.

Viettel is the only network operator in Vietnam with experience in successfully deploying 4G in other markets around the world such as Burundi, Laos, Haiti and Peru. In addition, Viettel is also the first telecommunications enterprise in Vietnam to provide 4G service testing and free SIM card exchange for customers in Vung Tau city.
The trial program attracted tens of thousands of customers to participate in the experience. The 4G speed in Vung Tau during the trial period reached an average of 40-80Mb/s, 7 times higher than the previous average speed of 3G. At some points, the speed can reach 230Mb/s, close to the ideal speed in theory (current advanced 4G LTE-A technology can reach download speeds of 300 Mb/s, upload speeds of 150 Mb/s).
