Discover the seven-tiered waterfall in Kon Tum, 'hanging' halfway up the mountain.
Perched high in the mountains, Siu Puong waterfall in Kon Tum boasts a pristine and majestic beauty. It is also one of the highest waterfalls in Vietnam.
From the center of Dak Na commune (Tu Mo Rong district, Kon Tum province), passing through terraced rice fields, winding rocky streams, and meandering roads amidst vast pine forests and lush green meadows, visitors will hear the roaring sound of water.
That's the sound of water cascading from the majestic Siu Puong waterfall, nestled between the Ngoc Kal and Ngoc Pang mountain ranges, about 89 km from Kon Tum city.

Located at an altitude of 1,600m above sea level, Siu Puong Waterfall is one of the highest waterfalls in Vietnam. The water of Siu Puong Waterfall originates from the peak of Ngoc Linh Mountain.
The waterfall is about 240m long, but unlike many other waterfalls in the Central Highlands, it doesn't cascade down in a single stream. Instead, Siu Puong waterfall flows in seven unique zigzag tiers.

The waterfall's highest tier is at the very top, reaching a height of 60 meters. The next four tiers are each approximately 40 meters high, while the remaining two shorter tiers are about 10 meters high.
Depending on the water flow, the width of the waterfall varies throughout the year. During the rainy season, when water is abundant, the waterfall can be up to 30 meters wide.
From a distance, the waterfall now looks like a soft, white silk ribbon, gracefully winding and standing out against the lush green of the mountains and forests.

Originating from high mountains and flowing through vast forests, Siu Puong waterfall boasts crystal-clear, cool water year-round. Below each tier of the waterfall lies a stunning, pristine natural pool.
Besides its pristine and majestic beauty, Siu Puong Waterfall is also considered a sacred place by the local Xo Dang people. The Xo Dang people here regard the water from the waterfall as sacred water.

They use water from the waterfall for their daily lives. However, the villagers absolutely do not engage in actions considered to pollute the water, such as washing clothes, bathing directly in the water source, or carrying the deceased across the stream.
Currently, Siu Puong Waterfall attracts many tourists who come to explore and experience it. The ideal time to fully admire the perfect beauty of this waterfall is around October.

At this time, Siu Puong waterfall receives an abundant supply of water from upstream. The cool, refreshing water of the waterfall becomes an ideal place for visitors to relax.
Here, visitors can enjoy the fresh air of nature and let go of all the fatigue and stress of life.

After exploring Vietnam's highest waterfall, visitors can visit and experience life in Le Vang village, about 8 km from Siu Puong waterfall. Viewed from above, Le Vang village looks like a lush green oasis with abundant fruit trees.
The local people still preserve their gong ensemble and distinctive customs and traditions such as: the New Rice Harvest Festival, the Water Canal Construction Ceremony, basket weaving, and cloth weaving, etc.
