Audiences are frustrated with the most annoying sister-in-law in the movie "Dad's Gift"
Many viewers were upset because of the sister-in-law character in the movie "Father's Gift" played by actress Huong Giang.
In the movieFather's GiftThe mother-daughter pair that annoys the audience the most is Mrs. Thuy (NSND Minh Hoa) and Quyen (Huong Giang). While Mrs. Thuy always acts rich and shows contempt for her in-laws and son-in-law, Quyen constantly says unpleasant things about her husband's sister, claiming that she always "squeezes" money from her brother.
In episode 8 of the film, when Nghia (Tuan Tu) invited his sister - Thao (Ngoc Huyen) to his house for dinner, Quyen showed her attitude openly. At first, Quyen was upset and criticized her brother-in-law for her lack of awareness:"You should be reasonable when spoiling your sister! She's all grown up and still makes you clean up after eating."

While the husband was happily cleaning up, he explained that "she rarely comes over to play", Quyen continued to be upset:"Are you coming to visit or to ask for money? I've seen you secretly give money to Thao several times. I know final year students have many problems, but Thao has to take care of them herself. Our family is having a hard time this year, we can't take care of everything."
This made Nghia angry:"It seems like in your eyes and your mother's, my whole family is clinging to it or something! Let me tell you right away, the money I give Thao has nothing to do with our family's finances. Even though she studies here, we rarely get to see each other."
In fact, according to the film's context, because Thao knew that her brother lived in the same house with his mother-in-law, and saw the unfriendly attitude that her mother-in-law and sister-in-law had towards her, she rarely visited her brother and sister-in-law. Chinh Quyen in episode 3 of the film also said that he rarely saw Thao come over to visit.
Quyen's attitude towards her brother-in-law in episode 8 of the movieFather's Giftmade many audiences angry:
"There's nothing wrong with a brother giving his sister money, it sounds so boring", "I'm also a woman but watching this movie, I can't stand the wife and mother-in-law. It's really annoying", "This Mrs. Quyen is so narrow-minded. Her brother-in-law is a student, so giving him a little money is fine, both mother and daughter are equally narrow-minded and selfish",
"This sister-in-law is so selfish, she should give me some pocket money from time to time. Because my family is not in any difficult situation, the house and job are stable, she is a student alone and does not depend on us, even if she becomes successful in the future, she will not forget our favor. It's scary that siblings in the family are so calculating", "My sister is a student so it's natural for her brother to give her more money"...

Not only annoyed with the character, some viewers also commented:"This actress is hateful in every role she plays", "Huong Giang plays so many villain roles that one can tell this sister-in-law will also be annoying"...
Previously, actress Huong Giang said that the character Quyen inFather's Giftnon-villain:"I don't think my character in the movie can be classified as a villain.
Quyen is a pretty normal person like any other woman. The conflict in Quyen's family arose from the fact that her mother-in-law and son-in-law did not like each other, so it was a bit awkward. In this movie, Giang was a little relieved because this character was not "stupid", and would not receive too much criticism like in previous movies.
The actress said she is not afraid to play a villain, nor is she bothered by the audience's reaction to her role:
"Being an actor is like serving a hundred families. I don't think that only playing good roles is good. In my opinion, being able to accept many different types of roles is the luckiest thing. Giang likes taking on villain roles more and more. Because villains have personalities and reactions that are completely different from your own, it will stimulate you to explore and observe from the outside to learn and create for the character.
Movie audiences, if I portray a villain that they hate, then that's my success."
