Urgently overcome landslides during construction of National Highway 7C
At this time, the construction unit is making efforts to overcome the landslide on National Highway 7C (Do Luong) connecting Ho Chi Minh Road (Tan Ky), trying to complete and put into use before November.

The National Highway 7C project (Do Luong) connecting with Ho Chi Minh Road (Tan Ky) has been basically completed, however, On September 20, heavy rains caused a serious landslide on the road through Ky Tan commune, Tan Ky district. A large amount of mud and soil poured down from both sides of the mountain, burying the entire road. Some landslides brought down trees and rocks onto the road.

Faced with the above situation, since the beginning of October, the authorities have directed the construction unit to mobilize machinery and human resources to focus on handling the landslide. Up to this point, the construction unit has used excavators to handle the amount of soil and rock buried in the road section through Ky Tan commune, Tan Ky district, with a volume of over 50,000 m3mud, soil. At the same time, proceed to handle the "hanging" rock and soil points that are at risk of collapsing on the mountain slopes.

The landslide section through Ky Tan commune, Tan Ky district has also been built by the construction unit with a stone gabion embankment with a length of over 300 meters to prevent soil and rocks from falling from the mountain, currently reaching over 70% of the volume.
A representative of the Nghe An Department of Transport said: The Department directed the construction unit to urgently speed up the progress of overcoming landslides, to soon hand over and put this road into use before November 2024.

The traffic road project connecting National Highway 7C (Do Luong) to Ho Chi Minh Road (Tan Ky) with a total investment of more than 739 billion VND. The route is about 23 km long, connecting Do Luong district and Tan Ky district. Once put into use, it will be an important project contributing to promoting economic development between Do Luong and Tan Ky districts.
