The "Light for Border Regions" project was inaugurated in Anh Son.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of July 31st, Phuc Son Border Guard Station, Nghe An Provincial Border Guard Command, held an inauguration ceremony for the "Lighting the Border Region" project using a solar power system.
Attending the inauguration ceremony were Colonel Le Nhu Cuong - Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of the Border Guard Command of Nghe An province; and Mr. Nguyen Huu Sang - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee, and Chairman of the People's Council of Anh Son district.

The "Lighting for the Border Region" project includes 100 poles and light bulbs installed throughout the unit's grounds and access roads in Phuc Son commune; spanning over 1.5 km and costing a total of 290 million VND from socialized funding sources. It is known that the funding for the solar power system installation at Phuc Son Border Guard Post was raised through donations mobilized by the District Party Secretary and leaders of Anh Son town and Phuc Son commune People's Committees.

The solar-powered lighting system facilitates the daily lives and work of the unit's officers and soldiers, as well as making travel and daily life easier for the local people; at the same time, it contributes to changing the face of the border region and strengthening security and order in the border area.
