Inauguration of the 'Border Light' project in Anh Son
(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of July 31, Phuc Son Border Guard Station, Nghe An Provincial Border Guard organized the inauguration ceremony of the "Border Light" project using a solar power system.
Attending the inauguration ceremony were Colonel Le Nhu Cuong - Party Secretary, Political Commissar of Nghe An Provincial Border Guard; Comrade Nguyen Huu Sang - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Anh Son district.
The project "Border Light" includes 100 columns and light bulbs installed throughout the campus and the entrance to the unit, in Phuc Son commune; with a length of more than 1.5 km, with a total value of 290 million VND from socialized funding. It is known that the funding for installing the solar power system at Phuc Son Border Guard Station was mobilized by the Secretary of the District Party Committee and leaders of the People's Committee of Anh Son town and Phuc Son commune.
The solar-powered lighting project facilitates the daily life and work of officers and soldiers of the unit as well as the travel and daily activities of local people; at the same time, it contributes to changing the face of the border area, strengthening security and order in the border area./.
