Namyangju Dasan (South Korea) road inaugurated in Vinh City.
(Baonghean.vn) - The Namyangju Dasan road project has a total investment of over 47.7 billion VND, of which the construction value of nearly 20 billion VND is funded by Namyangju City, South Korea.for Vinh City (Nghe An).
| On the afternoon of March 30th, Vinh City (Nghe An province) held the inauguration ceremony for Namyangju Dasan road in Quan Bau ward. Attending the ceremony were Mr. Lee Suk Woo - Mayor, and Mr. Park Yoo He - Chairman of the People's Council of Namyangju City, South Korea. Representing Nghe An province and Vinh City were: Mr. Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Vo Viet Thanh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee; Mr. Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province; and Mr. Nguyen Hoai An - Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh City. |
The road, invested in by the Vinh City People's Committee and started in March 2016, is 920m long, with a red line boundary of 18m, a carriageway width of 9m, and sidewalks of 4.5m on each side. It connects to Le Ninh Street at its beginning and Mai Hac De Street at its end.
The project had a total investment of over 47.7 billion VND, of which the construction value was nearly 20 billion VND funded by Namyangju City, South Korea, while compensation for land clearance and other costs were allocated from the budget of Vinh City. After nearly 9 months of construction, the project was completed and put into operation.

At the ceremony, representatives from Vinh City acknowledged the solidarity and friendship between the two cities over the past 12 years. During this cooperation, Namyangju City...Many positive activities have been undertaken to support and contribute to the cultural and educational development of Vinh City. Numerous meaningful exchange activities have also been organized, contributing to promoting cooperation between the two cities.

Given that Vinh City's budget is insufficient to meet the investment requirements for urban infrastructure development, Namyangju City has contributed to addressing a portion of the capital needed for infrastructure projects in the area. The Vinh City government highly appreciates Namyangju City's investment cooperation in preparing investment procedures and disbursing funds promptly.

At the ceremony, Mayor Lee Suk Woo of Namyangju City expressed his hope that the opening of the Namyangju Dasan Road would contribute to facilitating the development of the transportation system and improving environmental sanitation in the area. He also noted that this was an important milestone marking 12 years of sister city friendship between the two cities.
Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony and the unveiling of the street sign, Mayor Lee Suk Woo planted a commemorative tree on Namyangju Dasan Road.
