Inauguration of the Nghe An Provincial Youth Activities Center

On the morning of January 10th, the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union held the inauguration ceremony for the Nghe An Provincial Youth Activities Center in Nghi Huong ward, Cua Lo town.

Attending the ceremony were: Bui Quang Huy - Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Standing Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union; Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Nam Dinh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Ngoc Kim Nam - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department; members of the Provincial Party Committee: Pham Tuan Vinh - Secretary of Thai Hoa Town Party Committee; Nguyen Thi Thom - Secretary of Hung Nguyen District Party Committee; representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Party Building Departments; the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union; leaders of the Cua Lo Town Party Committee and People's Committee; the Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association; the Provincial Youth Development Support Center and other relevant units.

For many years, the Youth Union and youth movement in Nghe An province have consistently been leading the country. However, Nghe An lacked a provincial-level Youth Activities Center. In 2018, after receiving approval from the Prime Minister, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union decided to invest in the project in Nghe An. The Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union was tasked with coordinating with various levels, sectors, and local authorities to promote, mobilize resources, and find a suitable location for the construction of the provincial Youth Activities Center.

The construction of a Youth Activity Center with complete infrastructure, equipment, and a convenient location is extremely important and necessary for organizing training, education, and skill-building programs for young people; contributing to improving the quality of activities of the Youth Union, Youth Association, and Children's Union movements in the province.

The center has a land area of ​​19,660 m².²With an investment capital of over 44 billion VND, the project includes the following items: an administrative building, a large auditorium in the administrative building, along with supporting facilities and a comprehensive system of equipment to support operations.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Bui Quang Huy - Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Permanent Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union - congratulated the youth of Nghe An on successfully completing this meaningful project. On behalf of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, he also expressed gratitude for the attention and support from the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, the Cua Lo Town Party Committee, the Cua Lo Town People's Committee, and local departments and agencies, which enabled the project to be successfully implemented.

Nghe An is one of the provinces with the largest number of young people in the country, making the need for a multi-functional activity center for youth essential. Therefore, the Central Youth Union decided to choose Nghe An to build a Youth Activity Center, investing in facilities to support the gathering and organization of cultural and sports activities, clubs, talent classes, and the training and development of skills and knowledge for young people. This will contribute to the holistic education of the province's youth in terms of intellect, morality, physical fitness, and aesthetics.

Affirming the importance of the center, Comrade Le Van Luong, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, said that in recent years, under the attention and guidance of the Central Youth Union Secretariat and the Party committees and authorities at all levels, the youth of Nghe An have continuously strived, trained, and gradually matured.

During 18 months of intensive construction, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union closely coordinated with relevant units and local authorities and people, striving to complete the Nghe An Provincial Youth Center project, ensuring all technical, aesthetic, and quality requirements were met.

The inauguration of the Nghe An Provincial Youth Activities Center not only opens a new phase for the Youth Union's work and the youth movement in the province, but also affirms the attention of all levels and sectors to the care and education of children and young people.

In particular, the completion of the Nghe An Provincial Youth Activities Center is a significant event, marking a turning point in the emulation movement to achieve accomplishments in chào mừng the Youth Union Congresses at all levels, towards the 18th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Nghe An Province and the 12th National Youth Union Congress, term 2022 - 2027.

Provincial Youth Union Secretary Le Van Luong suggested that the Center's Board of Directors should effectively utilize the facility, attracting a large number of children and teenagers in the province to participate in activities and learning, making it a place for developing skills for the younger generation. In addition, the Center must closely coordinate with the Education and Training and Culture and Sports sectors to have a quality workforce to organize activities effectively.
