Khánh Vy, who speaks '7 languages', has been nominated for 'Person of the Year'.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of August 31st, Vietnam Television (VTV) held a press conference to announce the "VTV Award Ceremony 2016". Accordingly, Khanh Vy, the "girl who speaks 7 languages", was nominated in the "Person of the Year" category.

Representatives from the organizing committee answered questions from the press.

Accordingly, this year's awards ceremony is titled "Movement 2016". Notably, among the award categories is the appearance of Khanh Vy, the girl from Nghe An who impressed the online community with her ability to speak almost perfectly in seven foreign languages: English, Italian, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Thai, and Vietnamese from all three regions: North, Central, and South.

Khánh Vy was nominated in the Person of the Year category. Describing her, the nomination stated: “Not only is she very cute, knows how to dance and sing, and has a talent for accurately imitating the intonation of many different languages, but she is also extremely intelligent and incredibly multi-talented. That is Trần Khánh Vy, a student at Phan Bội Châu Specialized High School in Nghệ An, who has inspired many other students.”

Also nominated in this category are figures such as musician and singer Tran Lap, Dang Xuan Chinh, Khanh Linh from the program "The 7th Wish," and Nguyen Thao Van, the character from "I'm Beautiful, You Are Too."

Regarding Khanh Vy's case, a representative from the organizing committee stated that Khanh Vy was nominated through the 8-IELTS program on VTV7. "Although this channel is newly established and not yet widely known, many viewers nominated Khanh Vy," said journalist Lai Van Sam, Head of the Entertainment Programs Production Department of Vietnam Television, representing the organizing committee.

According to the plan, the VTV Awards - Moving Forward 2016 ceremony will be held on September 7, 2016, at Hoa Binh Theater and will be broadcast live at 8:15 PM on VTV1.

To become Person of the Year, nominees must go through two rounds. Khánh Vy has passed the first round and will proceed to the second. This will be a competition between nominees who passed the first round. From August 21st, on the voting system, in each category, only 5 nominees with the highest number of votes from the audience will remain. Audiences will continue to vote to help the judging panel determine the winner.

The voting system for Round 2 will close at 7:09 AM on September 7, 2016. This round includes participation from leading experts in the nominated fields. The awards ceremony is expected to be broadcast live on VTV1 on the evening of September 7, 2016.
