Following rumors that she got a job at VTV at a very young age thanks to connections and money, female MC Khanh Vy has spoken out for the first time. She also revealed many things about her life.

Becoming an overnight sensation after appearing in the clip "Schoolgirl Speaking Seven Languages," Khanh Vy has now matured considerably and become a charming female MC for Vietnam Television, hosting many programs. In a conversation with VietNamNet, the multi-talented 19-year-old shared some surprising secrets about her personal life for the first time.

Khánh Vy has hosted many youth programs on Nghe An Television. However, Khánh Vy's image first became widely known nationwide perhaps from the clip "The schoolgirl who speaks seven languages." Can you share the idea behind making this clip?

- Actually, the video didn't have any particular idea (laughs). We made it without any specific purpose or preparation. But perhaps it was due to a bit of luck that the video got noticed by everyone; I'm quite surprised myself!

How did Khanh Vy get into the MC profession?

- I'm someone who really enjoys participating in activities and meeting people. Gradually, I got to work at a television station in the place where I was born and raised.

When I participated in the first episode of the first season of VTV7's 8 IELTS program as a guest, I had the opportunity to truly connect with VTV. I became an MC for 8 IELTS's livestream programs and have since hosted three programs on VTV7. Although there was a lot of pressure, everything came to me very naturally.

With continuous success, Khanh Vy has transformed from an internet sensation into a beloved figure among young people. If you could say one inspiring quote, what would you say?

- "Be courageous and kind!" This is a motto I use a lot in my life, almost in every situation. Courage is needed to overcome challenges because no path is paved with roses. And I always try to live well with everyone and with life, and I'm sure that one day I will reap the rewards, or simply feel happier every day.

At just 19 years old, Khanh Vy has already achieved considerable success. What sacrifices did you have to make to get to where you are today?

- I never thought of myself as having achieved anything too extraordinary. For me, those were very valuable experiences. They were simply the results I achieved after hard work and a little bit of luck. I think that doing anything requires a lot of effort, and there are many other factors involved, but I wouldn't call it a "trade-off."

What I've invested is effort. I'm not a perfect person, so I'm constantly improving my English and hosting skills every day, and actively learning from my colleagues at the television station.

Perhaps the trade-off is that in the past, I sometimes forgot to spend time with family, friends, and myself. That's something I felt I had to sacrifice because, ultimately, family and friends are always the most important things. But now I'm different; I've learned how to balance my time to overcome the difficulties I just mentioned.

As Khanh Vy just said, every skill requires a lot of effort, so to have your current expertise, you must have gone through a rigorous training process, right?

- Honestly, I wouldn't dare call it rigorous training; it sounds too grandiose! (laughs)

As a TV presenter, my job involves pleasing many different people, so I always have to improve and adapt to meet the diverse demands of the audience. Every person who gives me feedback is like a "teacher." In the past, my voice was very weak; I couldn't sing high notes. I practiced singing high notes by shouting in the bathroom. After a while, my lungs expanded, my throat opened wider, and my voice became thicker and stronger. A thick and warm voice is very important for a TV presenter.

Regarding my English skills, I still have many shortcomings. I try to practice listening as much as possible and practice pronouncing each word correctly. Although my accent sounds somewhat "Western," there are still many words I haven't mastered, so I have to practice thoroughly. The most basic requirement is that I can speak in a way that others understand, and they can speak in a way that I understand.

So what about the MC's confidence when standing in front of the camera?

I don't know why, but ever since I was little, I've been fascinated by camera lenses. It's like I was born that way, so standing in front of a camera isn't really a big challenge for me.

But being an MC requires a lot of learning. I have to practice regularly, stand in front of a mirror, speak, and correct myself. The most important thing is probably that I get to work in a professional environment where senior colleagues help me a lot. I'm truly grateful!

One thing that has always bothered me is how to find my own unique style. I remember talking to my colleagues at the TV station, and they said that there are more and more MCs these days, and everyone speaks very fluently; finding a good speaker isn't difficult at all. But how to exude a unique style, one that people can recognize immediately, is not easy.

How do you respond to rumors that Khanh Vy got her good job because of connections, and the criticisms that don't acknowledge her abilities?

- I think everyone has their own perspective and measure of success. When they don't acknowledge it, I first look at myself. I always try to learn as much as possible, so that when I compare myself to the past, seeing progress is also a success.

Rumors that Khanh Vy had connections and money to get into the TV station are something I don't know how to explain because they're not true. Both of Khanh Vy's parents are not in the industry, so there wouldn't be any nepotism or anything like that. I haven't heard these rumors directly, but if they were true, then we'd definitely have to investigate!

Pretty and youthful, would you accept the opportunity to pursue a career in showbiz? If those jobs offered a much higher income than being an MC, but required you to sacrifice your MC career, would you be willing to do so?

- Right now, Khanh Vy has the opportunity to be a model, an actress, and a brand ambassador. I feel lucky to be able to experience these interesting fields.

If I had to quit being an MC, I'd have to consider many factors. Being an MC is a profession I love, one I've pursued for a long time and have a bit of talent for. And I'm the kind of person who finds it hard to give up something I've started, so I'll try to stick with it even if other factors influence me. The pay might be high, but I always know where my true potential lies.

However, I will try to find a balance; every opportunity is valuable and worth cherishing, and I won't reject any of them. Being an MC is also a stepping stone that helps me to venture into other jobs.
