Survey on the coverage of social insurance and health insurance in Nghia Dan
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of September 16th, the working group of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department worked with Nghia Dan district on the implementation of social insurance and health insurance coverage targets for the period 2016-2020; directions and tasks for the period 2021-2025, with a vision to 2030-2045.
To date, the number of people and the percentage of the population participating in health insurance in Nghia Dan have increased rapidly over the years, meeting and exceeding the health insurance coverage targets set in Decision No. 5011/QD-UB dated October 14, 2016, of the People's Committee of Nghe An province. As of the end of June 2021, there were 121,693 participants, achieving a coverage rate of 95.86%, higher than the provincial average.
However, by July 2021, according to Decision 861/QD-TTg, the number of people participating in health insurance in Nghia Dan district decreased by more than 20,000, currently standing at over 80.6%. Regarding student health insurance, the participation rate reached 93% in the 2016-2019 period, and reached 96.88% in the 2020-2021 school year. The participation rate in family health insurance has increased rapidly over the years.

During the meeting, delegates focused on discussing the advantages, difficulties, and obstacles encountered, and shared experiences in implementing the Resolution, as well as policies on social insurance and health insurance. They also proposed several recommendations to improve the effectiveness of policy implementation in the future.
The goal set for Nghia Dan is to strive to achieve a 95% health insurance coverage rate between 2021 and 2025, and to move towards universal health insurance coverage as outlined in the Resolution.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Vo Van Dung highly appreciated the results of Nghia Dan district's work in disseminating information on social insurance and health insurance policies and laws. This has made Nghia Dan a shining example in the province's social insurance and health insurance work. Based on the heartfelt, responsible, and practical suggestions from the delegates at the meeting, the working group will compile and contribute these ideas to relevant levels to supplement and improve policies for greater suitability in the future.
