Survey on social insurance and health insurance coverage in Nghia Dan

Up to now, the number of people and the rate of population participating in health insurance in Nghia Dan has increased rapidly over the years, completing and exceeding the health insurance coverage target according to Decision No. 5011/QD-UB dated October 14, 2016 of the People's Committee of Nghe An province. As of the end of June 2021, there were 121,693 participants, reaching a coverage rate of 95.86%, higher than the average of the whole province.

However, by July 2021, according to Decision 861/QD-TTg, the number of health insurance participants in Nghia Dan district decreased by more than 20,000 people, currently more than 80.6%. Regarding student health insurance, in the period 2016 - 2019, the rate of student participation reached 93%, and by the 2020 - 2021 school year, it reached 96.88%. The rate of household health insurance participants has increased rapidly over the years.

At the meeting, delegates focused on discussing the advantages, difficulties and obstacles and sharing experiences in implementing the Resolution, as well as policies on social insurance and health insurance. They proposed a number of recommendations to improve the effectiveness of policy implementation in the coming time.

The goal set in Nghia Dan is to strive from 2021 to 2025 to achieve 95% health insurance coverage and move towards universal health insurance according to the Resolution.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Vo Van Dung highly appreciated the results of the implementation of the propaganda work on social insurance and health insurance policies and laws of Nghia Dan district. Thereby, making Nghia Dan a bright spot in the work of social insurance and health insurance in the province. On the basis of recording the enthusiastic, responsible and practical suggestions of the delegates at the meeting, the working delegation will gather and contribute ideas to all levels to supplement and perfect more suitable policies in the coming time./.
