The application of science and technology to develop production in Con Cuong district has been widely implemented and has achieved practical results.

The district has implemented a project to grow safe vegetables according to VietGAP standards in the town and Chi Khe commune; successfully built a greenhouse model for growing cantaloupe with high economic efficiency; and supported the Chi Khe commune seedling cooperative in building a model for producing safe vegetables using sprinkler and drip irrigation technology on an area of ​​1.7 hectares.

The project to develop several distinctive product brands for the district has also been approved by the province.The district has developed projects to plant trees in urban and rural areas, and protect aquatic resources.

The Con Cuong orange product label set has been recognized by the Vietnam Intellectual Property Office, and the development of a collective trademark for Con Cuong orange specialty products, medicinal tea, herbal wine, and traditional rice wine is being implemented according to an annual roadmap.

During the meeting, the members of the working group discussed several issues, including: the need for model development to be regional and aligned with the district's proposed plan; and the priority given to developing high-tech and biotechnology models.

The District People's Committee also needs to develop policies and mechanisms to attract businesses to invest; pay attention to the scientific workforce in the district; and focus investments to achieve high efficiency, rather than spreading them thinly.

Con Cuong district also made several proposals: The province should organize training courses to improve the professional skills and expertise of science and technology officials at the district level; and provide financial and technical support to implement the models and projects that have been issued.

Concluding the meeting, Comrade Le Thi Hoai Chung - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department - highly appreciated the results that Con Cuong district has achieved after one year of implementing Resolution 06.
