(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of November 20, the provincial police leadership awarded the 288V Task Force for its achievements in arresting two subjects for illegally transporting drugs and seizing 5kg of crystal meth.

Previously, after a period of monitoring, the Drug Crime Investigation Department of Nghe An Provincial Police coordinated with the Drug Crime Investigation Department - Ministry of Public Security to establish Project 288V to combat the drug trafficking ring (mainly crystal meth) from China to Vietnam.

Two subjects Nguyen Ngoc Van - Nguyen Phuc Tien

At 7:00 p.m. on November 19, two subjects who are also brothers in this ring: Nguyen Ngoc Van (born in 1970) and Nguyen Phuc Tien (born in 1975), residing in Dong Dang town, Cao Loc district (Lang Son) brought drugs on passenger bus with license plate 79D - 5675 running on the North - South route. When they reached Mai Hac De street, Vinh city, they were discovered and arrested by the police force.

Seized exhibits

The seized items were 9 packages of crystal meth, totaling 5kg. Initially, the two subjects confessed to taking the above goods from China, then transporting them to the southern provinces for consumption. The case is being further investigated.
