Every mother understands the worries and anxieties about ensuring her child's holistic development, both physically and intellectually.

However, access to healthcare professionals and doctors for comprehensive advice on raising children remains a significant gap.

"500+ Golden Hours" - Raising Children Scientifically with Mom

“Raising children brings countless worries, from their illnesses and health problems to their underweight, choosing the right nutrition for each stage of development, and deciding what to feed them to promote intelligence… I always hope to get advice from doctors on everything to find the best way to raise my child. But I can't just run to the hospital to ask a doctor about everything. Doctors at the hospital also have limited time and can't possibly answer all my questions,” shared Ms. Ngoc Lan (Ho Chi Minh City), expressing her concerns and difficulties in raising her child.

It's not just Ms. Ngoc Lan; many other mothers share the same thoughts. This shows that the journey of raising children is full of happiness, but it also presents challenges that mothers may find difficult to solve on their own.

Based on this reality, at the seminar "Latest Research on the Benefits of Formula Milk," organized by the Vietnam Pediatric Association in collaboration with Mead Johnson Nutrition Vietnam, Professor Dr. Nguyen Cong Khanh, President of the Vietnam Pediatric Association, called on doctors and medical experts nationwide to participate in the "500+ Golden Hours" program to provide free consultations to help Vietnamese mothers raise their children better.

Professor Dr. Nguyen Cong Khanh, President of the Vietnam Pediatric Association, has called on doctors and medical experts nationwide to participate in the "500+ Golden Hours" program, offering free consultations to provide children with the best nutrition.

Also at the seminar, Dr. Collin Rudolph, former Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at the University of California, and currently Vice President and Head of Global Medical Affairs at Mead Johnson Nutrition, shared: “Children should be breastfed. However, in unavoidable circumstances such as when the mother does not have milk, the child needs a suitable alternative nutritional formula. That formula must help the child be both healthy and develop their brain comprehensively.”

TS. BS Collin Rudolph lãnh đạo Bộ Phận Y Tế - phụ trách các vấn đề Y khoa Toàn cầu của Mead Johnson Nutrion trình bày những nghiên cứu khoa học mới nhất chứa DHA, các chất xơ PDX/GOS, Beta-Glucan
Dr. Collin Rudolph, Head of Medical Affairs at Mead Johnson Nutrition, presented the latest scientific research on DHA, PDX/GOS fiber, and Beta-Glucan.

Before hundreds of doctors and nutritionists attending the seminar, Dr. Rudolph presented the latest scientific research showing that nutritional formulas containing DHA, PDX/GOS fiber, Beta-Glucan, etc., not only help children develop better brain function but also strengthen the immune system, reduce the number of sick days, and lessen allergy symptoms.

In particular, numerous clinical studies have shown that if children are supplemented with DHA in the amounts recommended by WHO and FAO, they will develop better brain function through improved cognitive abilities, problem-solving skills, motor skills, and better emotional recognition and expression. DHA also helps reduce allergy symptoms.

The PDX & GOS fiber system helps support the growth of good bacteria in the gut. These bacteria then secrete health-enhancing compounds by boosting the immune response. Another study in adults showed that supplementing with Beta-Glucan helped them become healthier and reduced respiratory infections.

Like a growing sapling, a child needs not only the love of their parents but also scientific care and nurturing methods to ensure their holistic development. Medical professionals and doctors are the pioneers in providing scientific knowledge to help mothers understand and feel more confident in raising their future generations.

The “500+ Golden Hours” of free consultation is being implemented by the Vietnam Pediatric Association in response to the meaningful program “Joining Hands to Nurture the A+ Generation” initiated by Mead Johnson Nutrition.

Each week, the organizers will schedule a few fixed time slots where each doctor can provide one-hour consultations to mothers with young children via the website www.enfa.com.vn/theheAplus (or by phone at 19006602). The consultations cover a wide range of topics, including nutrition, interaction methods, and childcare to promote holistic child development.
