When doctors accompany mothers to raise children
Anyone who has become a mother understands the concerns and worries about how their child can develop both physically and mentally.
However, there is still a certain gap in accessing medical experts and doctors to get full advice on raising children.
“500+ golden hours” - raising children scientifically with mothers
“Raising a child is a hundred things to think about, from the child being sick, the child being underweight, choosing the right nutrition for each stage, what to eat to make the child smart… I always want to get advice from the doctor to find the best way to raise my child. However, I can’t just run to the hospital to ask the doctor for everything. The doctors at the hospital also have limited time, so it’s hard to answer all my questions,” Ngoc Lan (HCMC) shared her thoughts and difficulties in raising her child.
Not only Ms. Ngoc Lan but many other mothers have the same thoughts. This shows that the journey of raising children is full of happiness but also has many problems that mothers find difficult to find answers for themselves.
Based on this reality, at the workshop “Latest research on the benefits of formula milk”, organized by the Vietnam Pediatric Association in collaboration with Mead Johnson Nutrition Vietnam, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Cong Khanh, Chairman of the Vietnam Pediatric Association, called on doctors and medical experts across the country to join the program “500+ golden hours” to provide free consultation to help Vietnamese mothers raise their children better.

Also at the above seminar, Dr. Collin Rudolph, former Professor of Clinical Pediatrics, University of California, currently Vice President, Head of the Medical Department - in charge of Global Medical Affairs of Mead Johnson Nutrion shared: “Children must be born with breast milk. However, in unavoidable cases such as the mother not having milk, the child needs a suitable alternative nutritional formula. That formula must help the child to be both healthy and develop a comprehensive brain.”

Dr. Collin Rudolph, Head of Medical Affairs - Global Medical Affairs of Mead Johnson Nutrion, presented the latest scientific research containing DHA, PDX/GOS fibers, Beta-Glucan |
In front of hundreds of doctors and nutritionists attending the conference, Dr. Rudolph presented the latest scientific research showing that nutritional formulas containing DHA, PDX/GOS fibers, Beta-Glucan... not only help children develop better brains but also help strengthen the immune system, help reduce the number of days children are sick as well as reduce allergy symptoms.
In particular, a series of clinical evidences have shown that if children are supplemented with DHA at the correct levels recommended by WHO and FAO, their brains will develop better through improved cognitive abilities, problem-solving abilities, skillful movements, and good recognition and expression of emotions. DHA also has the effect of reducing allergy symptoms.
PDX & GOS fiber system helps support the growth of good bacteria in the gut. These bacteria will secrete compounds that promote health by promoting immune response. Another study in adults showed that Beta-Glucan supplementation helped them be healthier, reducing respiratory infections.
Like a growing green shoot, a baby not only needs the love of its parents but also needs scientific care and nurturing methods for that "green shoot" to develop comprehensively. No one else but medical experts and doctors are the pioneers in providing scientific knowledge to help mothers understand and be more confident in the journey of nurturing the future generation of excellence.
“500+ golden hours” of free consultation is hosted by the Vietnam Pediatric Association in response to the meaningful program “Joining hands to nurture generation A+” initiated by Mead Johnson Nutrition.
Every week, the organizers will arrange a number of fixed time slots so that each doctor can provide 1 hour of consultation to mothers with young children through the website www.enfa.com.vn/theheAplus (or by phone 19006602). The consultation content is very diverse, including issues of nutrition, interaction, nurturing... for children to develop comprehensively.
