Ideological work to create consensus

We went to Phuc Son - a border commune of Anh Son district. This is a locality with an area of ​​over 14.5km², accounting for 1/4 of the area of ​​Anh Son district. Phuc Son has more than 25 villages, including 5 villages inhabited by ethnic minorities. The population structure is quite diverse, the lives of the majority of people are facing difficulties; the awareness level of cadres, party members and people is uneven. With such conditions, it is very difficult to put the policies, resolutions and policies of the Party and State into practice as well as to implement the goals and tasks of the locality.

Therefore, according to Chairman of the People's Committee of Phuc Son Commune Nguyen Van Trang, before implementing any policy, the locality always goes one step ahead to propagate and orient political and ideological work. First of all, it is necessary to make ideology for the cadres and party members to have correct and accurate understanding of the policies and viewpoints of the Party and the State, on that basis, promote the pioneering role, at the same time propagate and explain to the people.

Thanks to that, the policies and strategies implemented in Phuc Son in recent times have been quite favorable. The clearest evidence is in the implementation of the new rural construction program. In the context of many economic and infrastructure difficulties, Phuc Son's approach is to focus on building each village and hamlet. Selecting the key and appropriate content to do first and then gradually implementing the following criteria.

In 2019, the people of Phuc Son commune invested 1.2 billion VND, the district invested 34 billion VND to build roads. Along with building infrastructure, villages and hamlets invested in lighting and ensuring security and order. Up to now, the commune has 5 hamlets meeting the new rural criteria, and it is expected that by the end of the year, 3 more hamlets will meet the standards.

The above results were achieved thanks to good propaganda and ideological work, people were aware of the effectiveness and necessity of new rural construction, so from the government to the people unanimously participated.

Village 10, Cao Son Commune, Anh Son District has just completed a 1.2km long asphalt road with a total cost of nearly 500 million VND. Previously, many villages also contributed manpower and resources to renovate, build and expand many welfare projects worth billions of VND. Many people ask: why can a commune with many difficulties like Cao Son mobilize people's strength so effectively?

Exactly 2 years, comrade Nguyen Duc Vinh, Head of the Department of Education and Training of Anh Son district, was promoted to be Chairman of the People's Committee of Cao Son commune, a particularly difficult area of ​​Anh Son district. Promoting the role and responsibility of the leader, comrade Vinh, together with the local Party Committee and government, has done a good job of ideological work, building a united bloc. Many popular movements have been launched and created high consensus.

“Previously, the movement in Cao Son was almost stagnant. The people here believed that Cao Son would find it difficult to achieve the remarkable development it has today without innovation in the apparatus. Now Cao Son has really changed, the people's concerns have been resolved, many main roads have been paved with asphalt and concrete, and the remote areas have also been paved with gravel. Close to real life

In Anh Son, the Party Committee and the entire political system from the district to the grassroots level pay great attention to propaganda work, political and ideological work, and orientation of public opinion. In the process of leading and directing the implementation of local goals and tasks, political and ideological work is given top priority by the locality and implemented quite systematically.

First of all, the district focuses on strengthening the ideological work team at the grassroots level, such as establishing propaganda committees in communes, strengthening the grassroots reporting team to provide information and promptly grasp the ideology and orient public opinion. Every month, the district maintains a reporting conference, in which it delves into issues, selects new content that is focused, key, practical, and close to the local socio-economic situation; provides documents, compiles content, guides the grassroots and reporting team, innovates communication methods, grasps the situation of public opinion in the district, and promptly advises the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee on the orientation of ideological work.

In 2019, the district organized 12 regular reporters' conferences, 2 Current Affairs - Social Policy Club conferences; successfully organized the District-level Excellent Reporter Conference.

The district regularly organizes dialogues to directly listen and answer all questions as well as promptly orientate public opinion and thoughts on issues arising in life, creating high consensus in society.

In order to improve the effectiveness of disseminating the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's policies to the people, in 2019, Anh Son district implemented the Project to upgrade and innovate the management of the grassroots broadcasting system in 13 communes, with a total investment of 4 billion VND. Up to now, 21/21 communes and towns in the district have completed the repair and upgrade of the grassroots broadcasting system and put it into good and effective operation.

Hostile, reactionary, opportunistic, and politically dissatisfied forces are increasing their sabotage activities; using the Internet and social networks to spread bad and toxic news, aiming to destroy the Party's ideological foundation, directly affecting the thoughts and feelings of cadres, party members, and people. Religious activities have many manifestations and complicated developments. The above issues have affected the ideology, causing cadres, party members, and people in the district to have concerns and worries. In that situation, it is required that the ideological work team must proactively grasp the situation of public opinion, the thoughts of cadres, party members, and people in the Party Committee, promptly propose and advise the district Party Committee to lead, direct comprehensively, and achieve high results in all areas of work.
