The new momentum from the 14th National Congress of the Party is spreading among cadres, Party members, and the people of Nghe An.

From very early in the morning, in Kim Lien commune, the birthplace of the beloved President Ho Chi Minh, the atmosphere was already bustling and solemn. In the peaceful setting of this rural area rich in revolutionary traditions, the national flag and the Party flag were solemnly displayed along the main roads, at the cultural center, and in many households, demonstrating the special respect of cadres, Party members, and the people for this political event of special significance for the country.

At the Cultural Center of Hamlet 2, a large number of veteran officials and Party members, representatives of various organizations, and residents of the hamlet were present from early morning to watch the opening ceremony of the 14th Party Congress via live television broadcast. Everyone was neatly dressed, serious in demeanor, and their eyes followed every image transmitted from the National Convention Center.

At exactly 8 o'clock, when the first images of the opening ceremony appeared on the screen, the entire hall fell silent. Everyone stood up, solemnly singing the National Anthem and the Internationale, harmonizing with the sacred atmosphere at the main venue. Every solemn ritual, every important content of the Congress was watched attentively, demonstrating the deep concern and unwavering faith of the people in the Party.

According to the Party Branch Secretary and Head of Hamlet 2, Kim Lien Commune, Hoang Thi Mau, the hamlet currently has 311 households with 1,441 residents, and the Party Branch has 81 members. In preparation for the 14th National Congress of the Party, the Party Branch and the people of the hamlet have actively promoted propaganda work, displayed Party and national flags, organized general environmental sanitation, and beautified the residential area. Organizing Party branch meetings combined with watching the opening ceremony of the Congress is considered an important political activity, contributing to raising awareness, strengthening faith, and fostering a sense of responsibility among each Party member and citizen towards the revolutionary cause of the Party.

Sharing her feelings after watching the opening ceremony of the Congress, Comrade Hoang Thi Mau expressed: During the past term, Nghe An, like the whole country, faced many difficulties and challenges such as the Covid-19 pandemic, natural disasters, and floods. However, under the leadership of the Party, the province's socio-economic development has still made positive progress, and the people's lives have gradually improved. Through this Congress, the people hope that the Central Government will continue to make sound decisions, creating even stronger momentum for the development of the country in general and Nghe An province in particular.

As a son of President Ho Chi Minh's homeland, he also expressed his hope that the 14th National Congress would continue to pay more attention to the preservation, restoration, and upgrading of the system of Ho Chi Minh relics in Kim Lien, befitting the historical and cultural value and stature of an outstanding cultural figure.

At the same time, Comrade Hoang Thi Mau expressed confidence that the delegation of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, one of the largest Party Committees in the country with over 200,000 Party members, would fully utilize their intellect, courage, and responsibility to make positive contributions to the contents of the documents, especially in personnel matters, helping to select a new Central Committee with sufficient dedication, vision, and strength to lead the country into a new era of development.

Not only in Kim Lien, but the atmosphere of following the opening ceremony of the 14th National Congress of the Party spread widely throughout Nghe An province. From coastal areas to urban residential areas, from lowlands to mountainous regions, cadres, Party members, and the people all paid special attention, following the Congress with great faith and expectations.

In Tan Mai ward, a coastal area with nearly 12 km of coastline and about a quarter of its population living off the sea, the atmosphere surrounding the Congress was serious and warm. Comrade Nguyen Hong Quan, Vice Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee and Secretary of the Ward Youth Union, said that after watching the opening session of the 14th Congress and the speech by General Secretary To Lam, he was truly moved, proud, and had great confidence. The messages about the aspiration for a strong and prosperous nation, the central role of the people, and the need for innovation in the Party's leadership methods have been strongly spreading to cadres, Party members, and the people.

Comrade Nguyen Hong Quan expressed his delight that in the Draft Document of the 14th National Congress, the Party continues to prioritize the strong development of marine economic sectors while ensuring national defense and security, protecting the environment, and effectively managing and exploiting marine resources. The orientations for the synchronized development of coastal economic zones, industrial parks, ecological urban areas, the construction of fisheries logistics centers, and the development of large-scale aquaculture with high technology are considered very accurate and relevant to the realities of coastal localities like Tan Mai.

In urban areas, Comrade Thai Duy Hoang - Secretary of the Party Branch of Yen Phuc A block, Thanh Vinh ward - expressed particular concern for issues related to people's health care. He hoped that the Congress would continue to concretize breakthrough solutions in the spirit of Resolution No. 72 of the Politburo, not only focusing on investing in a modern healthcare system but also paying attention to the "roots" of disease prevention, environmental protection, food safety, and improving the quality of primary healthcare for the people.

Meanwhile, Comrade Nguyen Duc Dinh, Secretary of the Party Branch of Block 20, Hung Binh Ward, Thanh Vinh Commune, believes that the Draft Document of the 14th Party Congress has set forth correct and relevant requirements for sustainable and modern urban development. According to him, what the people hope for is that major policies on urbanization, urban development oriented towards public transportation, expansion of social housing, and efficient utilization of underground space will soon be concretized through clear and feasible action programs, creating real changes in urban life.

Regarding the challenges facing ethnic minority and mountainous areas, Comrade Mac Van Nguyen - Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Nhon Mai commune - stated that as a border commune, with 98% of its population being ethnic minorities such as the Khmu, Mong, and Thai, the local people are particularly interested in the Party's guidelines and policies for ethnic minority areas, especially through national target programs.

The people hope that programs and projects will continue to be implemented more thoroughly and effectively; and that more economic models suitable for mountainous and border areas will be developed to improve living standards, help stabilize their lives, and contribute to the task of maintaining border security.

According to Comrade Mac Van Nguyen, the local people are particularly concerned about sustainable housing, climate change adaptation, and disaster relief. They hope that the Party and the State will continue to implement specific policies to conduct a comprehensive review aimed at establishing stable and safe residential areas with rapid response mechanisms to mitigate the consequences of natural disasters and extreme weather events.

Concerned about the task of protecting the Fatherland in the new situation, Comrade Su Huu Dung - Vice Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee and Chairman of the Veterans Association of Hung Nguyen commune - expressed his enthusiasm for the new points in the Draft Document of the 14th National Congress on the development of the national defense and security industry. He was particularly pleased with the first-ever identification of the need for a "breakthrough in development" of the national defense and security industry, demonstrating strategic thinking and a long-term vision, contributing to building a strong national defense system and creating an important foundation for the rapid and sustainable development of the country.

"I wholeheartedly agree with the spirit of self-reliance, self-determination, self-strengthening, and the determination to build a modern national defense industry as stated in the document. This is a very correct policy and needs to be implemented promptly," Comrade Dung shared.

Throughout the atmosphere surrounding the opening ceremony of the 14th National Congress of the Party in Nghe An, there was a firm belief of the people in the Party's leadership and a high degree of unity between the Party's will and the people's aspirations. Messages about innovation, development, building a clean and strong Party, and putting the people at the center have been spreading widely, creating a new momentum and motivation for cadres, Party members, and the people throughout the province.

In his keynote address at the opening ceremony, Comrade To Lam, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, presented the Report of the 13th Central Committee on the documents of the 14th National Congress. He emphasized that the 14th National Congress marks a milestone opening a new stage of national development in a new context, situation, and with new goals; it is a Congress of strategic self-reliance, self-strength, national pride, of aspirations for progress, and of unwavering faith in the path chosen by the Party, President Ho Chi Minh, and our people.

With that belief, Nghe An, the homeland of President Ho Chi Minh, continues to affirm its determination to stand alongside the whole country, uphold revolutionary traditions, and work together to successfully achieve the goals and tasks set forth by the 14th National Congress of the Party.
