Well drilling causes houses to collapse in Quy Hop

(Baonghean.vn) - Currently, people in Phuong hamlet, Nghia Xuan commune (Quy Hop) are living in a state of anxiety because their house foundations are sinking, endangering their lives.

On November 8, upon receiving information that in Phuong hamlet, Nghia Xuan commune, there was a phenomenon of land subsidence causing the collapse of toilets, bathrooms and house foundations of some households, the leaders of Nghia Xuan commune established an inspection team and made a record of the actual situation at the scene.

Through inspection, it was found that the foundation of the toilet and bathroom of Mr. Thai Ba Lam and Mr. Nguyen Danh Trung's household had subsided, the foundation of the house, the fence, the toilet had collapsed, and the bathroom was cracked. At the location of the subsidence, a deep hole 6m wide and about 3m deep was formed.

Checking the surroundings showed that 20m to the West of the landslide site, there was a well drill with a diameter of 110cm and a depth of 30m; to the North, 20-30m to the North of the landslide site, there were 2 well drills with a diameter of 110cm and a depth of 30m.

According to some witnesses at the scene, the well drilling team had stopped 3 days ago.

Mr. Thai Ba Lam said: After discovering the house foundation had sunk on the afternoon of November 7, his family dumped a truckload of sand into the subsidence; however, on the morning of November 8, the phenomenon became more serious, so the family reported it to the local authorities for a solution. Currently, Mr. Lam's family is looking for ways to fill the cracks.
