Construction begins on the "Beautiful School for Children" project in Thong Thu (Que Phong).
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of March 30th, the Vietnam Volunteer Resource Information Center, the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union, together with the Executive Committee of the Que Phong District Youth Union and the Party Branch of Thong Thu 1 Primary School, held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the "Beautiful School for Children" project at the Muong Piet school branch of Thong Thu 1 Primary School, Thong Thu commune, Que Phong district.

The Muong Piet branch of Thong Thu 1 Primary School in Thong Thu commune is facing significant challenges regarding its infrastructure. Currently, the school has 9 classrooms, including 7 dilapidated level 4 classrooms and 2 temporary classrooms, all of which have deteriorated due to the effects of floods.
The distance from the commune center to the school is 10 km, and from the district center to the school is 53 km. To date, the school has received support from the Vietnam Volunteer Resource Center, which has donated 430 million VND to build the "Beautiful School for Children" project, including 2 classrooms, 1 staff room, and 1 toilet.

The school was built through the "Strength 2000" project – a project of the Central Youth Union aimed at directly implementing the construction of schools, bridges, and happy houses in disadvantaged localities.
To date, in addition to the Muong Piet school, the "Strength 2000" program is also sponsoring the Pa Ca kindergarten, part of the Nam Can Kindergarten in Nam Can commune, Ky Son district, with a total support of 280 million VND, and a "Happy House" for disadvantaged students in Truong Son village, Nam Can commune, Ky Son district, with a total value of 80 million VND.

These are practical projects to celebrate the 91st anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2022), and to look forward to the 18th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Nghe An province and the 12th National Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, term 2022-2027.

At the groundbreaking ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Thai Minh Sy expressed his sincere gratitude to the sponsors and the "Strength 2000" project for their support and provision of funding for the construction. The investment in building this school is of great importance in improving the quality of teaching and learning in a disadvantaged area like Thong Thu.
To ensure the project is completed soon, the comrade hopes that the local Party committee and government will pay attention to directing and urging progress. At the same time, he hopes to promote the role of youth in volunteer activities and contributing labor to the school construction in the coming time.
