Construction begins on the "Cooperative with Uncle Ho" project.
(Baonghean.vn) - This is a practical project commemorating the 50th anniversary of the implementation of President Ho Chi Minh's Testament, expressing the deep gratitude and appreciation of cooperatives and cooperative unions nationwide for President Ho Chi Minh's special affection for the cooperative economic sector.
On the morning of August 30th, the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance commenced the construction of the "Cooperative with Uncle Ho" project in Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Le Van Nghi - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance; Mr. Le Phuc An - Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial Cooperative Alliance; and leaders of Nam Dan district.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance Le Van Nghi said that the project "Cooperatives with Uncle Ho" was unanimously issued as a Resolution by the Alliance's Executive Committee in August 2018, with the positive response of members of the Cooperative Alliance system from the central level to 63 provinces and cities nationwide.
This is a practical project commemorating the 50th anniversary of the implementation of President Ho Chi Minh's Testament, and will be completed in time for the 130th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2020), expressing the deep gratitude and appreciation of cooperatives and cooperative unions nationwide for President Ho Chi Minh's special affection for the cooperative economic sector.

The completed project contributes to creating a green, clean, and beautiful landscape, leaving a deep and special impression of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance in the hearts of the people of Nghe An province in particular and domestic and foreign tourists in general.
The project "Cooperatives with Uncle Ho" will also serve as a "red address" for disseminating and educating cadres, officials, and workers throughout the Vietnam Cooperative Union system about the revolutionary traditions, thoughts, ethics, lifestyle, style, and simple yet noble image of Uncle Ho.
The project includes a 4-hectare lotus pond, two rest areas, two visitor bridges, flowerbeds and ornamental plants, and decorative lighting. The total value amounts to 8 billion VND.
The lotus flowers planted in the lotus pond are a high-yield variety, transplanted from Dong Thap, where the tomb of Nguyen Sinh Sac, the father of President Ho Chi Minh, is located.
