Prosecuted 2 subjects for producing fake cotton pads
On March 5, the Police Department issued a decision to prosecute the case and prosecute two suspects for producing counterfeit goods.
At the end of December 2024, the Economic Police Department of Hanoi City Police coordinated with the City Market Management Agency to inspect compliance with the law in production and business activities of DNT Production and Import-Export Trading Company Limited (address: La Phu commune, Hoai Duc district, Hanoi) with Nguyen Van Duong (born in 1982; registered residence: Cho TDP, Dai Mo ward, Nam Tu Liem district, Hanoi) as Director and the goods gathering point at Geleximco Urban Area, Duong Noi ward, Ha Dong district, Hanoi owned by Pham Thi Huong (born in 1999; registered residence: Quynh Tho commune, Quynh Phu district, Thai Binh province).

Through inspection, thousands of fake LASOIREE brand cotton pads were discovered at these two establishments; the value of the fake goods is equivalent to the real goods, nearly 1 billion VND.

Based on the collected documents and evidence, the Hanoi City Police Department of Investigation has issued a decision.prosecute the case, prosecuted Pham Thi Huong and Nguyen Van Duong for the crime of manufacturing counterfeit goods under Article 192 of the Penal Code. Previously, in April 2024, the Investigation Police Agency also prosecuted 1 case, prosecuted 3 defendants for the crime of manufacturing counterfeit goods along with the act of manufacturing fake makeup remover cotton.
