Doctor prosecuted for falsifying medical examination certificates.
During his time in office, Dr. Hien falsified and forged numerous health examination certificates, selling them to workers and citizens for illicit profit.
On February 24th, the Investigation Police Department of Long An province announced that...initiate legal proceedings.The police have initiated criminal proceedings and temporarily detained Vo The Hien (born in 1988, residing in Tan Tru, Long An) to clarify the crime of "Forgery in official duties".
Vo The Hien is a doctor working at Tan Tru District General Hospital, Long An Province, and also has a private clinic at Tan Phuoc intersection (Tan Phuoc Tay commune, Tan Tru district).
Taking advantage of his authority, from 2021 to the end of 2023, Hien directly fabricated and forged numerous health examination permits for workers and citizens in need, profiting from 300,000 to 500,000 VND per application.
After receiving a complaint from the public, the Long An Department of Health summoned Hien for questioning. Hien admitted to his actions; the Department of Health decided to suspend him from his duties.
Due to the large number of fake and forged health certificates that Hien produced and sold to workers and citizens, the Long An Provincial Police are summoning those who previously purchased health certificates from Hien for questioning to clarify the amount of illicit profit Hien earned.
