Prosecution of murderer at karaoke bar

On August 3, the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Province Police initiated a case, prosecuted the accused and issued an order to temporarily detain Nguyen Dinh Canh (born 2000), residing in Hamlet 7B, Hau Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh District, for 4 months for murder, while continuing to expand and investigate the case and clarify the actions of a number of related subjects.

Previously, on July 31, Hoang Van Quyet (born in 1997), residing in Hau Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district, held a housewarming party and invited Nguyen Dinh Thai (born in 1999), residing in hamlet 7B, Dien Trung commune, Dien Chau district, and a group of Thai's friends to his house for a housewarming party. After finishing eating and drinking, Quyet invited his group of friends and a group of friends in Dien Chau district to sing karaoke at Cho Mo hamlet, Hau Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district.

At 1:30 p.m. the same day, due to a misunderstanding, the Yen Thanh group and the Dien Chau group had a conflict that led to a fight. While drunk, Nguyen Dinh Canh pulled out a 20cm long switchblade that he had prepared and stabbed Tran Van Hieu (born in 1992) in the back. After being stabbed by Canh, Hieu ran to the cashier area, but Canh continued to chase after him and stabbed him again in the back, causing Hieu to collapse on the spot.

After committing the crime, Canh fled the scene, while Hieu was taken to Yen Thanh District General Hospital by local residents for emergency treatment. However, due to the seriousness of his injuries, which punctured his lungs and caused a lot of bleeding, Hieu died at the hospital.

Upon receiving the report, the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Provincial Police coordinated with the Criminal Technique Department, the Provincial People's Procuracy, and Yen Thanh District Police to examine the scene, conduct an autopsy, investigate the case, and arrest the perpetrator.

Through professional measures, the police force determined that the subject Canh was hiding in the locality, so they contacted his family to persuade him to surrender. At 5:00 p.m. on July 31, Nguyen Dinh Canh came to the police station to surrender.

At the police station, Canh admitted to the crime and confessed that due to a sudden conflict, Canh took a knife and stabbed Hieu in the back. After committing the crime, Canh took the knife home to clean it and stayed at his friend's house, not daring to go home. According to Canh's statement, during the fight, Ho Cong Quan (born in 1998) and Nguyen Dinh Thai (born in 1999), both residing in Hamlet 7B, Dien Trung Commune, Dien Chau District, used their hands to hit Hieu.

The Provincial Police Department's Criminal Police Department has summoned two subjects, Ho Cong Quan and Nguyen Dinh Thai, to investigate and clarify the act of beating people, and continue to expand the investigation and clarify the actions of a number of related subjects.
