Prosecution of subjects illegally buying and selling invoices and evading taxes
Bui Thanh Chung in Phu Ly City (Ha Nam) illegally bought and sold invoices to illegally profit more than 369 million VND.
On September 7, Ha Nam Provincial Police announced that they had initiated a case, prosecuted the accused and issued an order to temporarily detain two subjects, Bui Thanh Chung (born in 1984, Chau Son ward, Phu Ly city) and Pham Hong Thanh (born in 1991, Thanh Chau ward, Phu Ly city) for the crimes of "Illegal trading of invoices" and "Tax evasion".
Previously, through patrol and control work, the Traffic Police Department of Ha Nam Province Police discovered and made records to handle a number of vehicles bearing the Trung Doan logo, belonging to Hung Vuong Trading Transport Company Limited (located in Do Nha residential group, Chau Son ward, Phu Ly city) for transporting goods exceeding the permitted load capacity, and arbitrarily expanding the size of the vehicle's walls and cargo bed.
When examining documents related to the purchase and sale of goods in the registered business sector, the authorities found that Hung Vuong Company had signs of illegal purchase and sale of invoices and tax evasion. The Director of Ha Nam Provincial Police Department directed the Economic Police Department to verify and clarify.
During the investigation, the police discovered that Hung Vuong Company, owned by Bui Thanh Chung, had illegally bought and sold value-added tax invoices to declare value-added tax deductions with a total illegal profit of more than VND369 million. Pham Hong Thanh was the person who sold the fake invoices to Bui Thanh Chung.
