Authorities prosecute suspect for stealing 70 million VND and 4 taels of gold.
The Investigation Police Department of Nghe An province has just issued a decision to initiate a criminal case and prosecute Phan Van Le (born in 2003, residing in Nam Yen village, Quynh Anh commune) for the crime of "theft of property".

Accordingly, on the morning of May 14, 2026, Ms. NTD (born in 1974, residing in Nam Yen village, Quynh Anh commune) discovered that over 70 million VND in cash and 4 gold rings had been stolen. The total value of the stolen property was over 100 million VND.

Upon receiving the report, the Quỳnh Anh Commune Police (Nghe An Province) promptly launched an investigation, tracing clues and pursuing the suspect. At 11:00 AM on May 14th, less than four hours after the report, authorities arrested Phan Văn Lễ for theft. A search of his home yielded over 20 million VND in cash and 4 taels of gold. The suspect confessed that after committing the theft, he transferred 50 million VND in cash to his personal account.
