Two women charged in 'torture' case involving acid and tattoo machines.
The Ca Mau Provincial Police have charged two suspects in the case where a woman alleges she was assaulted, abducted in a car, and "tortured" with acid and a tattoo machine.
On June 26th, regarding information about a woman alleging she was abducted, beaten, tattooed, and had acid thrown at her face due to jealousy, the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Ca Mau Provincial Police issued a decision to prosecute Nguyen Nhu Y (residing in Nam Can district) and Phan Phuong Thao (residing in Ca Mau city) for the acts of "Intentional infliction of injury" and "Illegal detention".
Meanwhile, the victim, Ms. PHM (32 years old, residing in Ham Rong commune, Nam Can district), was taken for examination and her injury rate was determined to be 8%.
As reported, Ms. M. filed a criminal complaint with the authorities, stating that at approximately 4:50 PM on April 10th, while she was riding her motorbike through Nam Can town (Nam Can district), she was suddenly overtaken and blocked by Ý and Thảo, who were riding a motorbike in the same direction.
Here, the two women attacked Ms. M., dragging her into a waiting car. The victim's hands were tied with zip ties, and she was further beaten before being taken to a spa.
Upon arrival, Ms. M. was again subjected to the same treatment: she was dragged behind the house by the two women who covered her head with a scarf, and the door was locked. Then, Ms. Thao pinned Ms. M. to the floor and used a tattoo machine to tattoo multiple marks on her face. The two women also used scissors to cut her hair and poured an acid onto Ms. M.'s face.
The incident only stopped when Mrs. Ý's husband returned home, discovered his wife torturing someone else, and reported it to the local police.
Ms. M claims that she was brutally assaulted because Ms. Ý suspected her of having an affair with her husband, leading to jealousy.
