Man charged with shooting and robbing over 900 million VND.
The police have recovered 710 million VND out of the total 925 million VND that was stolen.

The police are currently requesting a forensic examination of the gun that Dung used in the case.
According to the investigation, Dung has a wife and children and owns three wood processing factories in An Phuoc commune, Long Thanh district. Due to business losses and involvement in gambling and betting, he conceived the idea of robbing a bank.

Dũng went online to find and buy a gun to use as a weapon in the crime.
On the afternoon of September 8th, Dung, dressed in a hooded outfit and wearing a helmet that concealed his face, left his house on a motorbike. Initially, Dung went to Bien Hoa 2 Industrial Park with the intention of robbing Vietcombank - Bien Hoa branch. However, seeing that the area was quite crowded, Dung hesitated and moved towards Tam Phuoc ward, deciding to carry out the robbery there instead.
The suspect parked his motorbike about 100 meters from the Vietcombank Tam Phuoc branch and went inside, sitting like a customer. Dung observed for about a minute before carrying out the crime.
At that moment, the suspect approached the teller counter, pulled out a gun, fired a shot into the air, and demanded that the staff bring out the money. More than 20 customers panicked and fled outside.
Terrified, the staff placed the stacks of money on the counter. Dung then put the money into a prepared plastic bag and ran out to escape. Many people and bank security guards chased after him, shouting, but because the robber was armed, no one dared approach him.
According to the police, Dung pretended to be left-handed and lame in his right leg to mislead the investigation.
Following the robbery, the Dong Nai Provincial Police, in coordination with various departments of the Ministry of Public Security, launched an investigation. At 0:25 AM on September 11th, the police raided Dung's house and arrested him.
Based on Le Huy Dung's confession, the police seized numerous vehicles and related evidence. Initially, it was determined that Dung stole 925 million VND, but the police have so far recovered 710 million VND.
