Prosecution of 'drunkard' who attacked police officer during alcohol test
Through testing, it was determined that Mr. Hung’s breath alcohol concentration exceeded the prescribed limit. However, when being ticketed, Mr. Hung did not cooperate but instead punched two police officers on duty in the face.
On May 26, Phuoc Long Town Police, Binh Phuoc Province, announced that they had initiated a criminal case, prosecuted the accused and executed an arrest warrant to detain Vo Van Hung (61 years old), residing in Son Giang Ward, Phuoc Long Town, for the crime of "Resisting a person on official duty".
Accordingly, on May 18, while patrolling Phuoc Binh ward, Phuoc Long town, the Traffic Police Working Group of Phuoc Long town discovered Mr. Vo Van Hung driving a motorbike with signs of being drunk, driving erratically, unable to control himself, so they asked him to stop the vehicle for inspection. Through inspection, it was determined that Mr. Hung's alcohol concentration in his breath exceeded the prescribed limit. However, when the record was drawn up for processing, Mr. Hung did not cooperate but rushed forward and punched two police officers on duty in the face. Immediately after that, Mr. Hung was restrained and taken to the police headquarters for questioning. At the police station, Mr. Hung admitted all his actions.

According to Lieutenant Duong Thanh Hung - Traffic Police Team of Phuoc Long Town Police, in just the past month, there have been 3 cases of resisting law enforcement officers in the town. All three cases are related to alcohol concentration violations. The police have decided to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and detain the three subjects.
