Prosecution initiated against drunk driver who assaulted police during a breathalyzer test.
Upon examination, it was determined that Mr. Hung's breath alcohol concentration exceeded the legal limit. However, when being issued a citation, Mr. Hung refused to cooperate and instead punched two police officers on duty in the face.
On May 26th, the Phước Long Town Police Department, Bình Phước Province, announced that they have initiated a criminal case, charged the suspect, and executed an arrest warrant for temporary detention against Võ Văn Hùng (61 years old), residing in Sơn Giang Ward, Phước Long Town, for the crime of "Resisting public officials in the performance of their duties".
Accordingly, on May 18th, while patrolling in Phuoc Binh ward, Phuoc Long town, the Traffic Police team of Phuoc Long town police discovered Mr. Vo Van Hung driving a motorbike while showing signs of intoxication, swerving, and losing control of himself, so they requested him to stop for inspection. The inspection revealed that Mr. Hung's breath alcohol level exceeded the legal limit. However, when being issued a citation, Mr. Hung refused to cooperate and instead punched two police officers in the face. He was then subdued and taken to the police station for questioning. At the police station, Mr. Hung admitted to all his actions.

According to Lieutenant Duong Thanh Hung of the Traffic Police Team of Phuoc Long Town Police, in just the past month, there have been three cases of resisting public officers in the town. All three cases involved violations related to alcohol levels. The police have decided to initiate criminal proceedings, indict the suspects, and detain the three individuals.
