Man charged with pouring gasoline and setting his girlfriend on fire.

Due to a relationship conflict, Lam Truong Binh poured gasoline on his girlfriend and set her on fire, causing both of them to suffer burns. After months of treatment, Ms. T. still has 43% burns.

On August 16th, the Criminal Investigation Department of the Vinh Long City Police issued a decision to prosecute and detain Lam Truong Binh (commonly known as "Binh Ca", 23 years old, residing in An Binh commune, Long Ho district) for 3 months to investigate the act of intentionally causing injury.

According to the investigation, at approximately 7 PM on January 20, 2017, due to a previous romantic conflict, Binh poured gasoline on his girlfriend, NTKT (21 years old, residing in Vinh Long City), and lit it with a lighter, causing both of them to suffer severe burns.

After extinguishing the fire, relatives took Binh and Trinh to the Vinh Long Provincial General Hospital for emergency treatment, and then transferred them to Cho Ray Hospital for further treatment. According to the assessment, Ms. T.'s injury rate was 43%.

It is known that Binh has a previous conviction and served 2 years in prison for intentionally causing injury.
