(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of September 29th, the Criminal Investigation Agency of Yen Thanh District Police announced that they had issued a decision to initiate a criminal case and prosecute a group of individuals involved in gambling in Tien Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district.

Earlier, at approximately 2:15 PM on September 11th, police detectives in Yen Thanh district received information that a group of people were gambling for money at the house of Mr. Trinh Xuan Binh (born in 1978), residing in Roc Lua hamlet, Tien Thanh commune. Police detectives from Yen Thanh district were ordered to raid the house and catch them red-handed.
| The suspects were identified as: Le Van Giang (born 1986); Ta Quoc Duong (born 1960); Le Xuan Duan (born 1963); Luu Xuan Su (born 1960); Tran Xuan Lenh (born 1960); Nguyen Huu Ba (born 1984); and Dinh Trong Cong (born 1979), all residing in Tien Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district. At the scene, the police seized two decks of cards, one mat, and 6.5 million VND on the mat; a search of the suspects yielded an additional 31.5 million VND. |
At the investigative agency, faced with irrefutable evidence, the suspects admitted their criminal acts. Through questioning, the investigative agency clarified that this group of suspects had used 12.5 million VND to gamble for money (specifically, the three-card game).
It is known that Tran Xuan Lenh, Le Van Giang, and Ta Quoc Duong each have one prior conviction and one prior offense; Le Xuan Duan has one prior conviction.
