Prosecution of fraud case at Sam Group, looking for victims who bought 'ghost' villas
The Ho Chi Minh City Police Department has just initiated a case and prosecuted the leaders of Sam Group Corporation for fraud and appropriation of more than 16 billion VND through "ghost" villa projects in Lam Dong.
On October 3, Ho Chi Minh City Police announced that they had initiated a case of "Fraudulent appropriation of property" occurred at Sam Group Company (located at Street 30, Ward 2, An Khanh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City).
The defendants include: Tran Van Quy (Chairman of the Board of Directors), Le Ngoc Thach (General Director) and Le Van Xa (Director) were determined to have appropriated more than 16.3 billion VND from many people.
According to the investigation, Sam Group promoted and sold fake villa projects in Lam Dong province, including: Sam World Dam'bri Villa Area, Sam Hills Loc Quang and Sam World Loc Quang...
This enterprise has no legal documents, is not granted an investment policy or investment registration certificate, but still signs deposit contracts, reservation forms and transfer registration forms with customers.
The money that the victims paid was transferred to the company’s account and Tran Van Quy’s personal account. Instead of fulfilling the commitment, the defendants withdrew the entire amount to use for other purposes.
