Vu Hoang Phu, owner of the TikTok channel Phu Tu with 1.2 million followers, has been indicted.
Vu Hoang Phu, the owner of the TikTok account Phu Tu with approximately 1.2 million followers, has been charged and is under investigation for disturbing public order.
On the evening of January 17th, the Dong Nai Provincial Police announced that they had served the indictment decision and a travel ban order against Vu Hoang Phu (26 years old, from Ninh Binh, owner of the TikTok account Phu Tu) to investigate his involvement in disturbing public order.
According to the police, Phu is a Buddhist monk with the Dharma name Thich Minh Vuong. In addition, Phu is the owner of the TikTok account "Phu Tu" with approximately 1.2 million followers.
Despite being a highly influential figure online, Phu's limited understanding of the law led to uncontrolled behavior.
At the Investigation Department of the Dong Nai Provincial Police, Phu was fully informed about his rights and obligations, the reasons for his prosecution, and the relevant legal regulations.
Subsequently, Phu made a sincere confession, admitting to his illegal actions and acknowledging the consequences his actions had caused for society.
According to the police, on August 12, 2025, at the Dong Nai Provincial People's Court, Phu used a picture frame to attack defendant Luu Quang Trung while judicial police officers were escorting him out of the courtroom.
The incident caused chaos in the courtroom, disrupting the proceedings and the dignity of the court, and seriously affecting local security and order.
On December 22, 2025, the Investigation Police Department of Dong Nai Province initiated a criminal case and indicted Phu for disturbing public order.
