Clever move by MU: Using Zirkzee to trade for Osimhen
Joshua Zirkzee is going through a difficult time at Old Trafford, with his form declining and confidence from the coaching staff wavering.

In this context, Manchester United is considering using him as leverage in the pursuit of Victor Osimhen – an outstanding striker who is being sought after by many clubs.
Joshua Zirkzee joined Manchester United in July with high expectations after the Red Devils spent £36.5 million to bring him from Bologna. The Dutch striker had a dream start with a winning goal in the opening match against Fulham. However, his form quickly declined and he hasn't scored again since. This has caused Zirkzee to increasingly lose favor with the coaching staff, especially since Ruben Amorim took over as head coach. The Portuguese manager is reportedly not entirely convinced by the 23-year-old striker and is looking for an alternative solution for the team's attack.
According to Il Mattino, Manchester United are currently considering using Zirkzee as part of a deal to sign Victor Osimhen. This plan includes offering an additional £25 million to persuade Napoli to release the Nigerian striker. Osimhen is one of Europe's top strikers, having scored 26 goals to help Napoli win Serie A in 2023. However, internal conflicts led to his departure from Napoli and a loan move to Galatasaray, where he continued to prove his class with 6 goals and 2 assists in just 5 matches.

Manchester United's attack is truly struggling this season, having scored only 12 goals in 11 Premier League matches – a disappointing figure for this historically rich club. Adding a top-class striker like Osimhen could be the optimal solution to improve their goalscoring performance and get the Red Devils back in the race. However, Man Utd isn't the only team pursuing Osimhen. Chelsea and Arsenal are also closely monitoring the Nigerian forward, making the race more intense than ever.
Currently sitting 13th in the Premier League, Man Utd will need a smart and decisive strategy to complete this transfer. If successful, acquiring Victor Osimhen could be a crucial turning point, not only solving their attacking problems but also reviving the team's ambitions of winning titles. In this case, Joshua Zirkzee would become a key player in the Red Devils' turnaround plan.
