How much is the fine for not complying with storm prevention instructions?

Storms are one of the most dangerous natural disasters that can cause serious damage to people, property, the environment and affect life, economy and society. Therefore, strictly following the instructions and guidance from the authorities in the process of storm prevention and control is the responsibility of each individual and organization.

According to the provisions of Article 12, Decree No. 03/2022/ND-CP of the Government, in the process of responding to natural disasters, including storms, if an individual fails to comply with the direction and command of natural disaster prevention and control of the competent authority or person, he/she will be subject to an administrative fine of 3,000,000 to 5,000,000 VND.

In case the violator is the owner of a vehicle or boat operating on the sea, river, lake, canal, ditch, lagoon or estuary without following the instructions on natural disaster prevention and control, he/she will be fined at a higher level, from 20,000,000 to 30,000,000 VND.

For organizations committing similar violations, the penalty will be twice the fine applied to individuals, according to the provisions of Clause 3, Article 6, Decree 03/2022/ND-CP.

Thus, compliance with disaster prevention and control instructions is not only a legal obligation, but also a practical action to protect oneself and the community from unpredictable natural hazards.
