Controlling the pine forest fire in Cua Lo
(Baonghean.vn) - Local forces and the Cua Lo Port Border Guard Station have just coordinated to extinguish a forest fire in Nghi Tan ward, Cua Lo town (Nghe An).

At around 10:30 a.m. on August 14, a fire broke out in the forest area bordering Block 1, Nghi Tan Ward (Cua Lo Town) and Nghi Khanh and Nghi Hop Communes (Nghi Loc District).
Immediately after receiving the news, the Border Guard Station of Cua Lo - Ben Thuy port mobilized 30 officers and soldiers of the unit to urgently go to the scene with local forces to participate in fighting the forest fire.

Due to the hot weather, the fire fighting work encountered many difficulties. By 3:00 p.m. the same day, the fire was controlled and extinguished. The burned forest area was about 1.5 hectares, mainly pine and acacia trees.
Currently, forces are still on duty at the scene to prevent the fire from re-igniting./.
