Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - chaired a working session with the Provincial Party Committee's Departments and Offices on the work situation in the fourth quarter of 2017 and the orientation of key tasks for the first quarter of 2018. Also attending were Comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; and leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Departments and Offices.

In the fourth quarter of 2017, the Provincial Party Committee's departments and offices effectively carried out the tasks of advising, implementing, studying, and thoroughly understanding the Party's directives and resolutions, promptly meeting the leadership and guidance requirements of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Committee's Executive Committee, and the Provincial Party Committee.

During the meeting, representatives from the Provincial Party Committee's departments reported specifically on the results of their work in the fourth quarter of 2017 and the key tasks for the first quarter of 2018; they also proposed several issues related to the work of the departments and the coordination between the Office and the Provincial Party Committee's departments to effectively implement the planned work programs and objectives.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, highly appreciated the effectiveness of the work of the Provincial Party Committee's Departments and Offices in the fourth quarter of 2017, especially in advising and implementing the Party's directives and resolutions; in resolving complex issues; and in receiving Party and State leaders and leaders of Laos visiting and working in Nghe An.

Regarding the tasks for the first quarter of 2018, the comrade noted that the Committees should implement them from the very beginning of the year to create a competitive atmosphere in their work, focusing on the following key areas: Strengthening propaganda about the Party, the results of the Party's comprehensive reforms; the results of socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, and fulfilling the province's political tasks in 2018. Emphasis should be placed on promoting exemplary individuals and good deeds, and the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's style, ethics, and conduct.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also requested that the Committees and the Provincial Party Committee Office do a good job of reviewing and evaluating cadres at the end of the year to serve as a basis for the cadres to strive for in 2018; and review information from the grassroots level to supplement the evaluation and ranking of cadres under the management of the Provincial Party Committee.

"Evaluating cadres is the most difficult step. If we don't do it thoroughly, if we don't evaluate accurately and correctly, it will reduce the motivation of cadres to strive for improvement," the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized.

The Provincial Party Committee's departments and offices continue to effectively advise the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee in leading and directing work effectively from the beginning of the new year, especially in promoting production and business, removing difficulties for businesses; taking care of cultural and social aspects, tourism, services, ensuring national defense and security, and effectively handling complex cases…

Leading and guiding officials and citizens to celebrate the 2018 Lunar New Year safely, joyfully, healthily, and economically, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm and promoting emulation in the new year. Strengthening inspection and supervision, with a greater focus on checking for signs of violations. Promoting judicial reform; closely monitoring the situation at the grassroots level to effectively lead the work of the Fatherland Front and mass organizations, summarizing the implementation of grassroots democracy regulations; directing the quality of conferences for officials and employees. Promoting the emulation of skillful mass mobilization. Preparing, advising, and providing good support for the work plans of the Standing Committee and the Provincial Party Committee.

Regarding the suggestions from several committees, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested the Office to supplement the report for the Provincial Party Committee's consideration and guidance on implementation. The Provincial Party Committee Office was tasked with developing a plan for implementing the shared office model and submitting it to the Central Committee for approval and implementation in 2018.
