Despite the cold, rainy weather, preparations were underway with great urgency. Neighbors gathered at the home of Mrs. Vu Thi Hien, mother of footballer Phan Van Duc, which was also the biggest viewing spot for the AFF Suzuki Cup final in Yen Thanh district.

According to Ms. Vu Thi Hien, the family slaughtered a pig to invite neighbors to celebrate and "boost morale" for Van Duc and the national team. To join in the festivities, some fans from the rice-growing region also provided a tent, screen, sound system, and lighting to make the event more lively. In addition, several singers from Nghe An province are also expected to participate.

Mrs. Hien also hopes her son, Phan Van Duc, and the other players will give their all for the national flag. When asked about her prediction for the match's outcome, Phan Van Duc's mother shared: "Malaysia is a very strong team. But with faith in the players, I believe Vietnam will win with a score of 1-0 or 2-1."
