(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 18, Colonel Tran Thang Long, Head of the Quynh Luu District Police, announced that the investigating agency has decided not to prosecute the case of the group of female students assaulting their classmate.

Colonel Long explained that the reason for not prosecuting the suspects was that they were minors with limited understanding of the law.

The investigating agency will directly communicate with the District Department of Education and Training and the school to determine appropriate handling in accordance with education regulations. The district police also instructed the two families to discuss, agree upon, and resolve the matter themselves.
According to Mr. Vo Minh Ky, Head of the Education and Training Department of Quynh Luu district, after the incident occurred, the department directly instructed the Principal of Quynh Long Secondary School to stabilize the teaching and learning situation, while awaiting the results of the investigation by the authorities to clarify the role of each student in order to apply appropriate disciplinary measures.
Previously, a video clip lasting over a minute, showing a group of female students brutally beating three other female students, appeared on social media, causing outrage among the public.
The Quỳnh Lưu District Police quickly launched an investigation into the incident. The female students who assaulted their classmate in the video are all students from Quỳnh Long Secondary School; the two female students who were assaulted are students in class 9A of Quỳnh Thuận Secondary School.
Reportedly, two of the three victims of the assault are still receiving treatment in the hospital and have not fully recovered enough to return to school.
