Preview of No Time Episode 6

In episode 6 of the series "Timeless," Lieutenant Colonel Dai (Manh Truong) proposed an initiative to use plant leaves to help treat diarrhea using folk remedies due to a lack of medication. He gave specific instructions to the soldiers:

"These are common folk remedies for treating diarrhea. They are readily available in forests, hilly areas, and around people's homes. Diarrhea can spread rapidly and erupt into epidemics. When we go to pick the leaves, we will combine it with educating people about eating cooked food, drinking boiled water, and keeping their homes clean. If we pick leaves near people's homes, we must ask permission to avoid causing inconvenience or affecting the local community."

Even though it was just a task of picking leaves, Lieutenant Colonel Dai still emphasized strict regulations to avoid inconvenience to the people and ensure the work was done efficiently.

In another scene, upon arriving in the area, Lieutenant Colonel Dai encounters an emergency. He discovers a young child in critical condition who needs immediate medical attention. However, the weather and treacherous roads nearly sweep him away by floodwaters while he attempts to cross.

Meanwhile, Linh (Bui Thac Phong) continues to express his dissatisfaction with his superiors and jealousy of his teammates. He is frustrated with the task of picking leaves and says, "There are many people sitting around doing nothing, why do I have to pick these leaves?"

Lieutenant Ha Mien (Bich Ngoc) immediately reacted to his attitude: "Once you've accepted a mission, you have to do it properly. The unit is large, but everyone has a specific task. Some stay at the battalion infirmary to help the people, some go to deal with the aftermath of the flood; nobody is sitting around doing nothing. Do you think everyone is as selfish as you?"

The tension within the unit, coupled with the difficulties posed by the pandemic and natural disasters, presents significant challenges for Lieutenant Colonel Dai. How will he handle these obstacles in his mission to assist the people?

"No Time" is a special film project commemorating the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day. The film will be broadcast during prime time on VTV1, from 9 PM every Monday to Friday, starting November 25th.

The film tells the story of Lieutenant Colonel Le Nguyen Dai, played by actor Manh Truong. Dai is a soldier in peacetime who, along with his comrades, possesses a deep love for his country, courage, and a sense of responsibility. They do not hesitate to face danger, ready to sacrifice themselves to protect the peaceful lives of the people from natural disasters and epidemics.

These soldiers possessed both compassionate hearts, always sharing and empathizing with the difficulties of their compatriots, and resourcefulness and decisiveness when facing sophisticated enemies. These enemies exploited the people's trust to spread propaganda against the Party and the State.

"No Time" brings together a cast of renowned and veteran actors such as People's Artist Trung Anh, People's Artist Quoc Tri, and People's Artist Nhu Quynh. These artists bring depth and weight to the characters they portray. In addition, the film also features young actors with rich acting experience such as Manh Truong, Chi Nhan, Duy Khanh, and Bich Ngoc, along with new faces like Le Bong and Thac Phong.

In particular, for the film's flashback section, director and Meritorious Artist Danh Dung entrusted the roles to young actors such as Viet Hoang, Huyen Trang, Thua Tuan Anh, and Duc Hieu. The freshness and youthfulness of these actors brought to life the images of young soldiers, doctors, nurses, and volunteer youth in a natural, simple, and vibrant way.

Le Nguyen Dai, played by Manh Truong, is the son of Mr. Nam, the commander of the 12th Regiment. Later, Dai was transferred to the 80th Regiment. He is handsome, masculine, and steadfast. Dai is strong, decisive, and always eager to complete any assigned task. As the son of a soldier who experienced war, Dai inherited his father's ideals and responsibilities. He possesses the unwavering determination and steadfastness of a soldier, but few know that he also harbors his own private thoughts.

The film explores the story of the soldiers of Uncle Ho's army, with two distinct parts: "war" and "peace." The past part depicts the fighting life of the older generation during the war of national defense. That life was both heroic and tragic due to the losses brought about by war.

In the present-day section, the film draws inspiration from the silent contributions of soldiers in peacetime, those who grew up in peace and were willing to sacrifice their personal happiness for the sacred cause of "the people." The interwoven stories of the past and present vividly portray the image of soldiers in each era. Simultaneously, the connection between the past and present reflects the continuation of the tradition of "Uncle Ho's soldiers," "by the people, for the people."

The film not only portrays the values of soldiers during wartime, but also honors the silent sacrifices of generations of soldiers in peacetime, who always protect the safety and happiness of the people.
