What are the penalties for failing to conduct regular fire safety inspections according to the latest regulations? This is a question from Mr. Tran Duy Hong (Thinh Truong commune, Nghe An province).

ReplyBased on Clause 3, Article 10 of Decree 106/2025/ND-CP, the following is stipulated:

Violation of fire safety inspection regulations.

1. A fine of VND 3,000,000 to VND 5,000,000 shall be imposed for any of the following acts:

a) Failure to present fire prevention, firefighting, rescue, and emergency response documents for fire safety inspection;

b) Failing to submit reports on the results of fire prevention, firefighting, rescue, and relief work at the facility within the prescribed timeframe;

c) Failure to implement the requirements regarding fire prevention, firefighting, rescue, and emergency response as stated in the written recommendation for the facility to rectify existing shortcomings and limitations.

2. A fine of VND 5,000,000 to VND 10,000,000 shall be imposed for any of the following acts:

a) Failing to assign authorized personnel to work with authorized inspectors after receiving notification of fire safety inspection;

b) Failure to submit reports on the results of fire prevention, firefighting, rescue, and relief work at the facility.

3. A fine of VND 10,000,000 to VND 20,000,000 shall be imposed for the act of failing to conduct periodic self-inspections on fire prevention and fighting.

4. A fine of between VND 20,000,000 and VND 30,000,000 shall be imposed for any of the following acts:

a) Failure to comply with the temporary suspension of operations as stipulated in the administrative penalty decision in the field of fire prevention, firefighting, and rescue issued by the competent authority;

b) Failure to comply with decisions to temporarily suspend or permanently suspend operations as prescribed by law on fire prevention, firefighting, and rescue.

Accordingly, failure to conduct periodic fire safety inspections may result in a fine ranging from 10,000,000 VND to 20,000,000 VND.

Note: The above fines are for individuals who violate the regulations. For organizations committing the same violation, the fine is double the amount imposed on individuals.
