What is the penalty for not conducting periodic fire prevention and fighting self-inspections according to the latest regulations?

Reply: Pursuant to Clause 3, Article 10, Decree 106/2025/ND-CP stipulates as follows:

Violation of fire prevention and fighting inspection regulations

1. A fine of between VND 3,000,000 and VND 5,000,000 shall be imposed for one of the following acts:

a) Failure to present records on fire prevention, firefighting, rescue and relief to serve fire prevention and firefighting inspection;

b) Submitting reports on the results of fire prevention, firefighting, rescue and relief work of the facility not on time;

c) Failure to comply with requirements on fire prevention, fire fighting, rescue and relief in the written request for the facility to overcome shortcomings and limitations.

2. A fine of between VND 5,000,000 and VND 10,000,000 shall be imposed for one of the following acts:

a) Failure to arrange for a competent and responsible person to work with the competent inspection person after receiving a notice of fire prevention and fighting inspection;

b) Failure to submit a report on the results of fire prevention, firefighting, rescue and relief work of the facility.

3. A fine of VND 10,000,000 to VND 20,000,000 shall be imposed for failure to conduct periodic self-inspections on fire prevention and fighting.

4. A fine of between VND 20,000,000 and VND 30,000,000 shall be imposed for one of the following acts:

a) Failure to comply with the temporary suspension of operations in the decision on administrative sanctions for violations in the field of fire prevention, fire fighting, rescue and salvage by a competent person;

b) Failure to comply with the decision to temporarily suspend or suspend operations according to the provisions of law on fire prevention, fire fighting, rescue and relief.

Accordingly, the act of not conducting periodic self-inspections on fire prevention and fighting can be fined from 10,000,000 VND to 20,000,000 VND.

Note: The above fine is for individuals. For organizations committing the same violation, the fine is twice the fine for individuals.
