Phu Dien administrative area attracts people's attention

(Baonghean.vn) - Before the news that Phu Dien urban area will be expanded to cover 9 communes, 1 town and part of Dien Thap commune with an area of ​​over 4,493 hectares, people of Dien Chau district excitedly welcomed it with many new hopes.

With the priority direction of developing investment in seafood processing and ports, focusing on exploiting and using sea space to develop resort tourism services, this field is of great interest to the people of Dien Chau coastal area.

The Phu Dien urban expansion project has been implemented by Dien Chau district since 2007. Up to now, through many comments and amendments from the Ministry of Construction and departments of Nghe An province, the urban development direction for the period 2035 and vision to 2050 is taken, with an area of ​​4,493 hectares in 9 communes: Dien Phuc, Dien Tan, Dien Bich, Dien Ngoc, Dien Kim, Dien Van, Dien Ky, Dien Hoa, town and a part of the southeast of Dien Thap commune.

Choosing the right key development stages of the sea area, overcoming difficulties such as shallow channels, and prioritizing the branding of seafood products has received the response of fishermen. Mr. Nguyen Hang - a fisherman in Dien Ngoc commune shared: "If there is a seaport and a safe channel, that is the happiest thing for Dien Chau fishermen. We will invest in big ships with strong engines so we can fish with peace of mind."

As for Dien Hoa people, this is an opportunity for the locality to exploit and develop in many aspects. Mr. Cao Xuan Thuong, a resident of Dien Hoa commune, shared: "We are very excited and have high hopes when the commune is located in the urban center; at the same time, it is the place where the administrative headquarters is located. However, Dien Hoa commune will lose a lot of agricultural land, the livelihood of the majority of the people. Therefore, I hope that the district needs to have a roadmap for investment and career conversion so that Dien Hoa people can still have jobs and income when they lose their production land."

The new point in the introduction of urban planning this time compared to 2007 is the transfer of the administrative area of ​​Dien Chau District People's Committee from Dien Thanh Commune to Dien Hoa Commune, which has caused many surprises for the people. Based on careful calculations of traffic planning, development direction and urban aesthetics, the choice of Dien Hoa as the location of the administrative area was highly agreed upon by the Ministry of Construction, departments, branches and Dien Chau District People's Committee.

Mr. Ha Xuan Quang - Vice Chairman of Dien Chau District People's Committee said: The master plan for Phu Dien urban expansion, if approved, will be an important basis for establishing a project to upgrade Phu Dien urban area from a type V to a type IV urban area; is a premise for decentralization and classification of urban areas from towns to provincial towns, which is meaningful in promoting the development of the "coastal center" region of Nghe An. Therefore, when the project is approved, we will proceed with planning and building a roadmap until 2035, with a systematic investment program and plan every year.
