Contrary to expectations, U15 SLNA were the dominant players, demonstrating superior physical fitness, technique, and tactics from the moment the opening whistle blew. And under the pressure exerted by U15 SLNA, it was inevitable that U15 HAGL would concede a goal.

However, it wasn't until the 20th minute, following an attack down the wing, that the ball was crossed into the penalty area, and Pham Tien Dung found himself in a favorable position to score. The opening goal energized the U15 SLNA team, leading to numerous beautiful passing sequences that caused the U15 HAGL defenders to make repeated mistakes.

Just three minutes later, substitute midfielder Dinh Xuan Tien made his mark with a solo run, dribbling past several U15 HAGL defenders before scoring to make it 2-0. Still reeling from the two quick goals, U15 HAGL conceded another penalty with less than two minutes remaining in the first half. From the penalty spot, captain Phan Ba ​​Quyen made no mistake to extend U15 SLNA's lead to 3-0, ending the first half with a comfortable advantage.

In the second half, the young HAGL players pushed forward in attack, seeking a goal, and after their efforts, they reaped the rewards. In the 48th minute, a chaotic situation in front of goalkeeper Nguyen Van Viet's goal created an opportunity for the young HAGL players to score, reducing the deficit to 1-3.

However, in an open, attacking game, U15 SLNA continued to score their fourth goal quite easily. In the 52nd minute, U15 SLNA were awarded a penalty after a foul by a HAGL defender. From the penalty spot, Ngo Quang Thuan scored, increasing the score to 4-1 for U15 SLNA. This was the fourth goal for the U15 Vietnam national team player after two matches in the U15 National Championship Finals.

With a 4-1 lead, U15 SLNA began to play more cautiously, and U15 HAGL scored another goal to reduce the deficit to 2-4 in the 72nd minute. Without the excellent performance and high concentration of goalkeeper Nguyen Van Viet in the two previous defensive situations, the number of goals conceded by U15 SLNA would certainly have been much higher than two. With little time left in the match, U15 SLNA adopted a tight defensive style with quick counter-attacks, and 4-2 was the final score.

With this victory, Coach Ngo Quang Truong's team secured a perfect 6 points and leads Group A after two rounds. This officially earned them a place in the semi-finals with one round remaining. Their next group stage match will be against the host team Tay Ninh at 3:00 PM on August 6th. The semi-finals will take place on August 9th and 10th, 2017 at the Tay Ninh stadium.
