According to RIA Novosti on March 15, Turkish President's foreign policy and security advisor, Ambassador Akif Cagatay Kilic, said that there is a "crisis of trust" in the negotiation process to resolve the conflict in Ukraine and the parties are looking for a way out of the current situation.

US President Donald Trump said the US has received “very good” signals from Russia and Ukraine.

“The situation in Ukraine is changing very rapidly. The situation seems to have reached a certain positive point, and then it turns around. The basic factor here is that there is a crisis of confidence. No one trusts anyone in the military sphere. The parties to the conflict have been brought together twice. This happened before in Turkey. A significant gap was overcome in these negotiations. Due to a number of factors, the terms that seemed to have been agreed were canceled. So now the parties have reached the threshold of a crisis of confidence,” Ambassador Kilic said in an interview with NTV.

According to Ambassador Kilic, the parties continuously revised the results of the negotiations.

“Questions arise on each side: what is behind the statements, what goals are being pursued? What will be the position of Europe and the United States in this process? In the whole atmosphere of this crisis of distrust, the sides are looking for a way out of the deadlock,” the Turkish politician said.
