(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 19th, the Party Committee of the provincial-level agencies held a meeting to disseminate the Central Committee Resolution No. 5 (12th Congress) on perfecting the socialist-oriented market economy institution; Regulation 86-QD/TW on Party supervision work of the Politburo; and Directive No. 12-CT/TU of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on strengthening the role of setting an example, practicing thrift, and combating waste among cadres and Party members.

At the conference, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Viet Thong - Secretary General of the Central Theoretical Council, conveyed the basic issues of the Resolution of the 5th Conference of the 12th Central Committee on perfecting the socialist-oriented market economy institution; on continuing to restructure, innovate and improve the efficiency of State-owned enterprises; the Resolution on developing the private economy to become an important driving force of the socialist-oriented market economy; and Regulation No. 86/QD-TW, dated June 1, 2017, of the Politburo on supervision within the Party.

After more than 30 years of reform, especially after 10 years of implementing the Resolution of the 6th Plenum of the 10th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam on "Continuing to perfect the socialist-oriented market economy institution," our country has achieved many important accomplishments but also faces many problems that need to be addressed. Resolution No. 5 of the 12th Central Committee continues to affirm the Party's important guiding principle that building and perfecting the socialist-oriented market economy institution is a strategic task, a crucial breakthrough, and a driving force for rapid and sustainable development.

Through the process of development and summarizing practical experiences, the Central Party Committee has directed the continued improvement of institutions regarding ownership, the development of economic sectors and types of enterprises; the synchronous development of market elements and types of markets; linking economic growth with ensuring sustainable development, progress, and social equity; promoting and enhancing the effectiveness of international economic integration; improving the Party's leadership capacity, the State's role in building and implementing economic institutions, and promoting the people's right to self-governance in the development of a socialist-oriented market economy.

Also at the conference, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the provincial-level agencies disseminated the contents of Directive No. 12-CT/TU of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on strengthening the role of setting an example, practicing thrift, and combating waste among cadres and Party members. The Party Committee assigned the task to the grassroots Party committees and subordinate Party branches to convey the disseminated contents to cadres and Party members and to develop action programs based on the contents discussed at this conference.
