The third-generation Morning was designed by the company's design team in Frankfurt (Germany) in collaboration with the team in Namyang (South Korea). Besides a more modern look, the small hatchback also has increased dimensions and updated technology.
The car has a wheelbase that is 15 mm longer, while the overall length remains unchanged at 3,595 mm, 5 mm shorter than the previous version.
The exterior is more modern, less "playful" than before, and closer to its larger siblings like the Rio or Cerato. The headlights, which used to have many edges, have become sleeker, and the grille extends to connect with the headlights. Below, the front fascia is sportier, with compact fog lights and additional air vents on either side, enhancing its sporty look.
At the rear, the taillights have been redesigned with a C-shaped style, and the daytime running lights and rear bumper have also been refined. The C-pillar has been redesigned with a multi-faceted glass cut, a current trend. The creases on the hood and body have also been repositioned, giving it a more robust feel.
The interior also represents a significant step forward, as the Korean automaker cleverly tricks customers into thinking it's a Class A car. The dashboard design, the vertically oriented touchscreen infotainment system, the three-spoke steering wheel, and the air vents resemble those found in higher segments. This arrangement also reduces clutter, making the cabin feel more spacious.
Amenities in the car include automatic climate control, a multi-function steering wheel, leather seats, heated front seats, AUX and USB connectivity, Apple CarPlay, and a rearview camera.

In the South Korean market, the car will use the same 1-liter gasoline engine from the previous generation, producing 75 horsepower and 95 Nm of maximum torque. The transmission will be either a 4-speed automatic or a 5-speed manual.
The Kia Morning is built on a new platform using 44% high-strength steel, a 22% increase compared to the previous generation, making the car more rigid in collisions. The new technology also makes the roof stronger.
The car has 7 airbags, an improved vehicle stability control system that enhances balance during braking. It also features emergency braking, forward collision warning, and tire pressure monitoring.
The price range for the Kia Morning in South Korea is $7,920-$8,060 for the Basic Plus version, $8,230-$8,400 for the Deluxe version, $9,840-$9,980 for the Luxury version, and finally $10,500-$10,700 for the top-of-the-line Prestige version. The car went on sale in South Korea on January 17th.
In Vietnam, the Morning is one of the best-selling small hatchbacks in its segment, alongside its rival, the Hyundai Grand i10.
